The reality of the situation is the Nova is the perfect middle ground that makes it very difficult to justify its competitors. It can two-tap almost every heavy enemy in the game, combines obscenely well with mobility packs, and has unlimited ammo. Sure, there are X scenarios where the AMR or Railgun are better, but the Nova is better across the board on average.
