Tying Tangle and Whisper together to promote lesbian shit was single-handedly the worst idea in the comic. That one decision one shot KO'd almost any good will the characters had left and now they're just left to rot while doing basically nothing but taking up screen time. We literally had it spelled out in plain English last year that Sega forced IDW and the movies to comply with a 2 worlds mandate that said Sonic has to be an alien. Not an imp or a fairy. They said space alien. The writer from the movies literally complained about this. Sega waited until the second movie to repeal it. There is nothing to theorize. It isn't Archie or Satamfags taking over Sonic. It's Sega. The only reason IDW has no humans is because Sega isn't going to waste time updating the terms and conditions. This is all known fact.
