I agree with this but at some point you have to up the ante when a majority of players have cleared Naxx >25 times. You're not only designing classic-inspired raids, you're designing for a playerbase that has been playing classic for over 20 years.

This was one of WoW's greatest decisions back in the day desu. There are so many MMOs and RPGs out there where your character is already The Chosen One and the most important person in the world from level 1 which makes even sillier when you're doing a quest to save a cat from a tree while the world is ending on the background. In Vanilla WoW you are just a grunt climbing up the ranks and making your own story. If you decided to take some time off to learn to cook it doesn't really matter, the world does not revolve around you.

Warmode makes it so a pve can first shot you at all times.
I tried it once, did warmode and got camped by a level 60 undead rogue who was pve. Warmode is more toxic than the PVP server. No one in their right mind would do it once you understand you're open to attack by all pve players. 20% is far too low to suffer thru that shit.
The PVP server is 2x exp yes, but that's typical for PVP servers.

Everything in the lore was not respected, except gobs being horde.
With high elves and gobs on turtle, and the blood elves being shown as more akin to falling to evil as per wc3, I think they proved they understand and care about the lore more than blizz ever did post vanilla.
So I think they'd do it right.
I would like to see ogres on horde and furbolgs or pandas for alliance.

For classes, they could just port in the existing retail classes: death knight, demon hunter, monk, evoker are all decent options.
I'd only say they could mod the DK to be a necro caster class, which would imply a more independent exploration of the necromantic arts, rather than the class being inherently bound to the lich king.
Like the necromancer Abercrombie, his motivation is independent of the lich king, even if it's leading him on a path of slavery to the lich king.
Similar to how the warlock lore is, they're using forbidden magic, but they're not (yet) slaves to the burning legion.

They need to add Dwarf shamans & Tauren paladins to help balance the alliance and horde, especially on the pvp server as it's growing fast.
Retail solved this a long time ago, it needs to be done.

IWildhammer dwarfs have shamans and Tauren worship the sun.
Neither is a stretch at all to see.

Shit doesn't have to match up perfectly either, troll priests are based on their voodoo shadow magic, not their adherence to the light, so similarly, Tauren aren't knightly order based paladins, but their worship and culture suits it. And while wildhammer dwarfs may be somewhat less savage, a more debased version of an elemental mage would be shaman.

Is this a good setup for Rogue leveling in open world / minor world PvP stuff? They removed Premeditation and it doesn't look like Shadowstep is in either, so I don't see the point of going deeper into Sub even though it has great traits in the middle.

I am having an absolute blast on Turtle WoW and it if it wasn't for this thread I might not have heard about it. I was obsessed with WoW my whole childhood (2000 baby) but coupled with parents not wanting to pay for subscription for a game, and my Mums laptop failing to install the client when I did convince them to buy me an install disc/code from the Supermarket. I finally got to play WoW as god intended when Classic released, and I enjoyed every minute of it up until about level 50, and then University /social life/ girlfriend/ drug addiction one after another ate into my gaming time. But Turtle WoW has brought me back, I've been playing for at least 6 hours every day since Monday and loving it.

Having a shit time with Deadmines, back in classic in 2020 I used to do deadmines constantly and would find good groups to do it with even as a DPS. In turtle i'm having an aids ol' time, the groups either just fall apart or while waiting for one or two of the group to walk there from another continent everyone pulls too many miners and gets raped and dies and then someone leaves, its a real shite fest. I've tried for 3 days in a row and we haven't made it past the mine entrance area.
