Have you anons been excited for anything coming out? I have a few for the first time in years that I'm actually excited for:>1. Arc Raiders>2. Drakantos>3. Warborne Above Ashes>? Hunger>? Soul's Remnant>? Adrullan>? Bellatores>? ApogeaRecently made it into the Drakantos CBT and I gotta say I absolutely loved it. PVP focused grid based action combat mmolite. Most of the game was in instanced dungeons, not in the openworld, but they've been adding an open world area with questing. Its focus is gonna be 3's invadable dungeons in the vein of darksouls. It has heroes instead of character customization, which at first I hated, but I quickly came to be okay with it. The game gives you a decent build customization, cosmetic customization is kinda lacking, but it sounds like the dev wants to add a lot of cosmetic crap tied to endgame content. Im pretty excited anons, and I havent been excited since about a game since the Division 1 2013 E3 trailer, and the first playtest of Dark and Darker.
>>1891953>DrakantosBeautiful pixel art.. Is it any good?
>>1897602>brazillian gameNevermind.
>>1897602A lot of people complained about the movement being delayed (Devs said it was an accident, and the movement had an 50ms delay to it for testing reasons apparently?) which is apparently easily fixable. But other than that I personally thought the game was super fun.I cant even tell you what its similar to. It feels kinda like Ravendawn, but not really. It seems like its gonna be a competitive pvp game for teams of 3>Plenty of youtube videos showing reviews of it
>>1897871>cont.Actually there were a lot of things when i first played it I thought i was gonna absolutely hate that i quickly either changed my mind about or it didnt bother me after trying it>Heros, not customizable charactersThe heros at max lvl have a bunch of different customization options, you basically work towards customization in the game instead of starting with it>Instanced DungeonsAlso thought i would hate this, but it feels like a solid foundation for pvp with the invasions>Slow combatThis normally isnt a problem for me, but once I got used to it, i felt great about it. Like when I first played tera and the combat slows down your character, and it feels jarring, but when you get used to it, it feels better how it is
Is there anything with sandbox open world base building like Wurm or Haven&Hearth? I've been waiting for 10+ years.
>>1898205In the form of an MMO?Both of those games are pretty unique, desu>Haven and HearthSalem was an offchute made by the same team i believe, but its prolly dead now. It wasnt as good as haven, but had updated graphics. Prolly not worth looking intoI wouldnt compare either of those games to Once Human, but I think thats worth looking into. You can build your base almost anywhere excluding roads and POIs
Anyone play any of the Warborne Above Ashes playtests? Its significantly better than Albion. But plays closer to Crush Online/Warmonger Online.>Releases in 2025>Nothing is confirmed about monetizationIf they dont fuck up the monetization Warborne will be one of the best mmos of all time. Its promising to be seasonal like Once Human, but letting you retain your gear masteries(?). Seriously if you havent played Warborne, lack of visibility over monetization is the only reason this game will fail. Its fun as hell.
>>1907071It fixes so many of the problems Albion has>"Gearscore" can be leveled up and endgame becomes equal to that of higher quality armors and weapons(A purple/blue leather chest will be equal to a gold leather chest, if leveled both to max, any gear you want to wear is completely viable. You're not forced into wearing the gold gear's abilities)>Game is focused around PVP and not around the economy (Thanks to the cash shop selling gold)You drop 1 item on death instead of your entire inventory, making deaths less punishing and allowing you to get back into combat quicker.I also speculate that because seasons last 1 month(?) you'll lose all your gear anyway at the end of the season, so losing your stuff is even less punishing at the end of the scenario>Gear sold in the merchant is priced depending on how many players in the server are currently wearing that pieceMeta players will be punished with steeper costs of losing gear, somewhat balancing the benefits of meta chasing. This is a genius counter to meta chasing faggotsIm really excited as we approach launch. The last playtest was fun as shit. I loved this game. I really pray the cashshop doesnt ruin the game. Last playtest had 50k(?) concurrent players? It WILL be the next big thing if they dont fuck up the monetization
>>1907080Losing a single random item stings a lot more than losing your entire set upon death. You can't assess your risk with such a system. Players will cry about bad RNG.They should balance the game instead of creating a system to punish metafaggotry. Players with deep pockets don’t care about taxes.
>>1907724>They should balance the game instead of creating a system to punish metafaggotryWeapon balance is a problem in every game. How are you suggesting?>Losing a single random item stings a lot more than losing your entire set upon death. You can't assess your risk with such a system. Players will cry about bad RNG.Its already been shown off last playtest. It works how it is. It works well.
>>1911221Keeping an eye on it. Too many PvP games die when they try to please PvE players by toning down the risk that makes PvP exciting. I hope they won't make that mistake.
>>1911747All too common.Currently happening to Dark and Darker and Sea of Thieves
Theres a closed playtest going on right now for Warborne. New weapons, and armors, and a new map layout. 2 Drifters Codename: Scout and the vampire mage. Anyone have any info?
