What are some good horror/ survival coop games? I'm really out of the loop. FEAR and RE5 were really cool.

Killing Floor might be a good pick, wave based survival horror first person shooter, gameplay is similar to Resident Evil, position is demanding and you need to shoot your enemies before they eat you. Each player has classes (perks) that have unique roles in combat.

I don't suggest playing the live version of Killing Floor 2 and 3 available on stores, those are action games and they do not carry the Killing Floor legacy.

A good mention, is to try out the Killing Floor mod for Unreal Tournament for 2004 (KFmod), which is more horror focused and the gameplay is more archaic, Killing Floor is still active to this day and it's playable even with 150 ping. One bad thing is that the games cannot let you host unless you need to open ports like most old games, I assume you already know how to host games with Hamachi / Radmin VPN, that's a way to host a private game for your friends.

Dying light is one of my favorites games like that. Also hunt showdown but honestly the PvP element ruins it for me because I suck at sneaking and battle royale games.

Yeah Killing Floor 1 is amazing. Dated, but amazing. Actually requires extensive knowledge and intricate playstyles to be a rambofag but otherwise generally actually promotes legitimate teamwork unlike most games.

KF2 is kind of crap, KF3 I don't even want to talk about.

>Good things about Killing Floor1
Runs great.
Looks great, with some tweaking. Absolutely turn blur shit off.
Sounds great. Good voice lines and no rot from modern DEI cringe.
Amazing aesthetics.
No sprint or dodge/power sliding bullshit. ADHD sprintfaggots can pound sand.

>Bad things about Killing Floor1
Fleshlight is both useful on dark maps but is also shit, Left 4 Dead's flashlight is way nicer. Typical Unreal Engine issues.
Server default caps client FPS to 85 FPS. While the game runs great and will hit 1,000 FPS on a modern PC, you'll only see 85 FPS when connecting to servers... UNLESS server admin changes something on their side. LAME AS HELL.
Kind of dead, modding scene is decaying with lots of mods becoming "lost content" over the years.
Unfortunately you can't really play the game without leveling up, which takes some time, but the grind isn't too bad.
Due to the above issues, many people look over this game and assume KF2 or KF3 are improvements but they aren't, so the population dwindles and will only get worse unless way more people start waking up from modern AAA slop and start looking for great old games.
