I played a few games here of forced trios but thanks to solos and duos, I cant 1vs1 players depending on their class let alone 1vs3 players anymore. The game from the playtests is long gone now...

I really havent played much in a long time. No content has been added, Ive played the game for more than 2 hours so I dont need a PVE tutorial mode, I was promised the Monk and Pirate Map but both got delayed because the game went free2claim on epic so suddenly overnight the playerbase now wanted the exact opposite of what they wanted prior? Trios only has been removed, so we're taking another step backwards towards casualization. Its just really frustrating. The playtest game was so much better.

A feature no one but SDF wanted so that you can spawn into a dungeon with half the time gone, every enemy killed or chest looted, every escape portal used, and a good chance of spawning right next to someone or having someone spawn behind you. Its a retarded system that has had constant complaints since its inception and has ruined the old feeling of entering a dungeon.

When the patch starts, you will not be able to log in to the game and players in-game will not be able to enter the matchmaking pool during this time.
Players in a match or in-game will have 40 minutes to complete their match and exit safely.

**Fighter**
- Combo Attack: Grants 10% bonus physical damage per stack for consecutive melee attacks within 2 seconds, stacking up to 2 times.
- Adrenaline Spike: Additionally, you gain a 3% movement speed bonus and 30% regular interaction speed, do not receive the penalty for using the Adrenaline Rush skill, and the cooldown has been reduced from 60 seconds to 28 seconds.
- Slayer: Grants an additional 10 movement speed.
- Projectile Resistance: Additionaly, reduces projectile damage by 15% while in defensive stance.
- Weapon Mastery: No longer applies any penalty.
- Defense Mastery: Defense rating bonus increased from 10% to 15%.
- Barricade: Defense rating and magic resistance increased from 50 to 75.
- Victory Strike: Physical damage bonus has been increased from 20% to 40%, and the health restoration effect has been removed. If this attack kills a player, the skill will trigger again with no cooldown. (In the next patch, the name will be changed to “Finishing Blow”.)
- Perfect Block: Duration increased from 6 seconds to 8 seconds.
- Spell Reflection: Grants a constant 15% magic damage reduction until a spell is reflected when the skill is active.
- Shield Slam: Physical damage reduced from 45 to 30.
- Taunt: Increases monster aggro by 50% to 300% when used.

**Rogue**
- Dagger Expert: Physical damage bonus increased from 10% to 15%, and additionally grants 1 true physical damage.
- Thrust: Armor penetration increased from 20% to 25%.
- Creep: Gains an additional 10% movement speed while crouching and walking.
- Back Attack: The angle for detecting back attacks increased from 90° to 120°.
- Caltrops: Automatically recovers every 28 seconds. Can be stored up to 3 times.
- Smoke Pot: Automatically recovers every 60 seconds, and movement speed penalty inside smoke reduced from 10% to 5%.

**Ranger**
- Trap Mastery: Installs trap-type items instantly and retrieves them when disarmed.
- Camping Mastery: Installs campfires instantly and doubles their duration.
- Purge Shot: Changed from a skill to a passive effect, removing one random magical buff from the target with each ranged weapon hit and dealing 3 true magical damage.
- Field Ration: Healing amount increased from 25 to 40, quantity reduced from 3 to 2, and can now be replenished using a campfire.
- Forceful Shot: Duration increased from 8 seconds to 10 seconds.
- Penetrating Shot: Additionally, Attacks with bows and crossbows now pierce targets.

- Story Teller: Will increase changed from 3 to 5.
- Wanderer's Luck: Luck increased from 50 to 100.
- Encore: Resets the duration of all music buffs applied to nearby party members.
- Party Maker: Grants all nearby allies a 15-second immunity to intoxication; drinking while immune restores 5 health.
- Tranquility: Additional health recovered during rest increased from 1 to 2, duration changed from 10/20/30 seconds to 10/15/20 seconds.
- Song of Shadow: Duration increased from 10/15/20 seconds to 10/20/30 seconds.
- Din of Darkness: Dark magic damage attribute bonus ratio increased from 0.06/0.09/0.12 to 0.16/0.33/0.5.

- Phantomize: Cancel motion has been added.
- Ray of Darkness: Beam size increased, making it easier to hit targets.
- Eldritch Shield: Duration increased from 4 seconds to 6 seconds. During the effect, Dark magic damage bonus increased from 20% to 30%, and Dark magic casting speed is increased by 50%

**Druid**
- Shapeshift Mastery: Instead of a magic damage penalty, you can no longer use elemental spirit spells.
- Natural Healing: Grants a 10% bonus to magic healing attributes.
- Herbal Sensing: Detects a wider area and increases the chance of harvesting higher-grade herbs.
- Barkskin Armor: Defense rating increase raised from 25 to 50, and can now be cast on targets other than yourself.
- Insect Predation: Fixed an issue where health recovery did not scale properly with resourcefulness.

- Earth Elemental: Defense rating increase raised from 30 to 50.

- Warlocks can now use the Kris Dagger.
- Weapon Damage of all Rapiers increased by 1.

Outside of arena Sorc is better than wiz. Problem is Wiz is extremely good in arenas and instead of balancing around that by maybe preventing spell regen inbetween round, the devs refuse to give them anything except nerfs to their overall performance. The spell reflect 15% MR buff is specifically targeted at wizards.

Fuck you'd probably just pop it and purposely tank fireballs as you run at the enemy.

I had literally given up on this game, but I have to say that this patch has renewed my hope. The general buffs across the board is great, the PVE is fun to fuck around in with little stress and the Squires to Riches is now my friends and my main/primary mode. It'd just a great patch overall.
I really didn't think they had it in them.
I am still not buying Legendary Status, but its a solid patch and I am going to play more and see how they manage the future patches.

Again, god damn Squire to Riches is just such a great mode for pvp.
The only thing they could do to make PVP better is change arena to be a mode with normalized stats and gear. As in, no stat checks, everyone enters even and fights it out that way (but I dont own legend so that says how i have little interest in it until something like this is accomplished).

a separate normalized arena would be fine, I would love lots of various arena modes. but the current system they have works good. run through the dungeons to do your quests, craft items, finalize your kit, and then put it to the test in arena. part of the game is gearing, that's just how it is. you could leave ranked arena as is on the timed schedule, and then have other wacky modes throughout the week. I want FFA, 2v2v2v2, 6v6, on goofy maps like a shanty town from the water map, or two big boats next to each other with gangplanks in between.

This doesnt stop you from bringing in a gorillion cheap potions and bandages or queueing up solo if you wanna rat around. Longsword fighter is a trap unless you have super low latency and even then its risky but when you do parry people you one tap them. I would just go slayer build on low gear. High gear is probably something like rondel buckler in full plate with MS perks/gear

A good ranger with backstep is near unkillable, also works under water. low gear is just recurv/longbow at high gear with action speed and true damage survival bow is OP

This is mainly my gripe playing fighter too because especially starting out I feel barbs stat check me. I haven’t gotten far yet tho, like I’ll shoot barbs playing fighter a lot but they still fucking kick my ass. I also struggle against barbs and fighters when I’m playing ranger

Slayer with adren skill and perk then you hold left click with a sword weapon. You should not need sprint but it depends on the lobby if there are a lot of people kiting. Windlass takes to long to load especially on fighter so I would use a bow or crossbow instead.

On ranger one of my favorite no gear build is crossbow mastery and just a regular crossbow, then spear/backstep. Shotgun has been meh for awhile, they changed the point at which it fans out so if someone is in your face it will shoot past them and again depending on latency it may miss them point blank.

Explosive bottles are just free chip damage but ya pretty useless unless killing a rat druid or finding a rogue in stealth.

Base kit barb is probably the best in squire gear class RN. Felling axe right now hits like a truck so if you see it bait out a wiff then hit them. Only good bards seem to counter good barbs right now thanks to their action speed/MS

I really like bard and warlock for bidding. Long sword fighter is really good against some bosses too if you land parry, but I find either the ping ir latency it’s too much of a gamble for pvp

After some testing I think Slayer is pretty good, it has decent action speed even in base kit allowing to you to bait out rogues/kiters by switching to your cross bow or potion and back to melee weapons. Funny enough I died soon after this to another slayer fighter

He was on the podcast with the people talking about how much of a nightmare the game devs were to work with. At first he was heavily defending the game but finally mentioned that outside of bug reports he and Graysun never really talked despite him being the biggest content creator at the time. Then Graysun either getting things lost in translation, being a huge schizo or both ranted paragraphs long at him and he decided to quit.

All that said I get the impression the devs never really liked him, it seemed they ignored all his opinions and would balance wizard around him routinely. With him gone maybe wizard can get some love.

Bargain needs to be changed.
I think they should make it more akin to playing as a scav in Tarkov.
1: you can not play as mini bosses.
2: you choose to enter a map as an NPC with a bargain point, not when you die.
3: you can enter norms or HR (hr costs gold as well)
4: you may loot items off players bodies and other NPCs (cannot open chests etc)
5: if you survive until the map ends/closes you extract and keep the loot and it goes to the goblin (or watchman, which ever is best for balance).
6: if you extract you are refunded your bargain point (maybe not?).

Basically this would normalize the process of playing as an NPC.
It's a choice you make when you queue, not when you die.
The way you can die and then respawn to rush someone down with zero mob aggro and try for a revenge kill is ridiculous and it's especially frustrating for more casual or new players.

I love the bargain mechanic, it's awesome, but it needs to be a functional choice and not a fucking revenge spawn mechanic.
This also fixes the issue of people wanting to just suicide and go bargain.

Bargain is fine for the most part, its good that you can't just spawn in as a monster at the start and you have to clear pve for it. Meh, I think you're upside down in your logic. 5 gobs rushing troll happens currently (we know this from countless complaints and videos as evidence) so the core of your argument is invalid.

However, if bargain is part of the matchmaking process, they can limit timings and number of bargain players in any given instance at a time.

Meanwhile, keeping the current situation, as you've argued for still allows for 5 gobs to rush down troll and it doesn't fix the issue of revenge rushes either, which are absolute 100% bullshit.
I kill a player and it's a hard fight, so I am low of supplies, next thing I know a player controlled goblin of that same player rushes me down and I have to have another battle. It's gay as fuck.

slayer rapes nearly all classes currently bud. Druids get absolutely folded along with rogues, barbs, clerics, warlocks, bards, ranger and wizard. A good Sorc player can be tricky but can fold them in the end. Anyone who doesn't understand just how over tuned Slayer is right now frankly doesn't know shit about Dark and Darker lol

Slayer is way overtuned at least in base kit gear, I've been using it to farm mobs for bargains. Have not messed with it in gear though. Like half of the fighter perks/abilities now give MS so something like slayer with gear would probably be near MS cap even with out sprint. Watched a clip of a streamer the other day crying that fighter was to slow, meanwhile hes full plate with sword and shield out chasing a rogue.

Also discovered flanged mace with a short sword still gets the sword perk benefit and melts people even faster.

I think Wiz is actually good against druid, you can blow them up relatively quick but I hope you picked zorin for your religion, the spell pen is huge on them. Problem I notice now is everyone is running rogue so there are landmines everywhere, and people in HR tend to just run away. Normals just feels like bullying everyone but thats where the pvp is

How the fuck do I play sorcerer? Wizard is easy compared to this class. Iron will barb? Ice mastery Ice bolt, easy splash with fireball and then magic missile anyone who tries to run you down. There’s just so many sorcerer spells I get confused. I don’t even know where to start

Wizard is very spammy compared to sorc, the lose case for wizard is very rarely that you have completely run out of spells as compared to sorc its that you blowed your magical load to fast so now all your spells are on cooldown with no option but to run or try melee.

Generally you wanna choose your spells and merges with combos in mind like frost lightning to freeze them in place and then headshot with elemental bolt or levitate them into a lightning storm.

Seems affinity just increases the pool of mobs you can spawn in as and in most cases they are worse mobs until like 42+. There are probably better ways to farm money because some days it took me a few hours just to finish the daily.

there is much more to the equation than that. who's geared in what? did the fighter bring MR pots? did the wizard bring prots? has the wizard just finished clearing and now need to sneak a meditate into the fight somewhere? does the fighter have sprint and adrenaline or is he running sprint and second wind? or is he a batshit shield fighter?

it's a pretty even matchup imo but it quickly swings out of balance depending on stuff and things, like most everything in this game.

I'm trying to figure out how a barbarian one shot me through Arcane shield + 125 health, he had a purple double axe but still that should not be enough damage. I thought they screwed up the headshot multiplier with AS/pot shields but I went in to a lobby naked and tested the numbers vs skeleton archers and it seems to remove the 1.75x multipler back to 1x, although archer mob numbers at exactly 0 armor seem to have a 1.5 hs multipler

There must be something weird about how all the headshot bonuses work with it.
