I like Orbita, it's fun when it's not borked and mobs stop spawning outside marni. Timing your buffs and bursting the golems before they attack and the titan fight is interesting enough, with the rewards being the 2-3 minutes of afk phase. It's basically a Dokkebi 2.0. Shame what they did with the Edania weeklies, they put too high requirements and people who are above the AP cap and overclear the spots can't get the weeklies due to the overestimated DP requirement.

Deep Sea is one of the only ways to get a substantial damage increase past the 5% ap softcaps. Not worthwhile vs big packs but is really good if the zone is about focusing fewer big enemies to back attack them.
Courage in PVE is only if you need more ap to reach the AP softcap.
Khalks is if you need a bit more resistance for the zone's CC type, or maybe if it's your first time at the zone and want that bit of DR to play more cautiously.
They aren't really mandatory but they do help in certain situations.

RBF is fun desu even the king of the hill mode, it's probably the most engaging content in the game
even me, a non-pvper, started doing it beyond the dailies to break up the grind and it exposes how poorly designed much of the pve in this game really is
it's pvp done right, zero pressure, decently rewarding, no toxicity, and forces you to learn your class properly and organically

They want you grinding in higher AP zones for more silver instead of speed-clearing zones you're 1000 ap ahead of.
It doesn't matter how much you whale, with a 5% softcap you're never going to notice a difference if you were already past it anyway.
If you want to do older, lower ap zones, what you do now is use all crystals with % crit/back attack/attack speed, then load up on DR/HP. There's a 30% drop rate lightstone set you can use as well.

Go look in-game, see how many people are afk fishing at velia beach compared to how many are actively grinding or lifeskilling on any server at any given time of the day. You get a free t10 pegasus, it's easy to check for yourself. Don't just check one or two spots on 3 servers, go browse the open world for an hour or two during peak hours and see how few active players there are. If you've ever played this game for more than 10 hours years back, you know how crowded it used to be.

The problem many have now is the shift in how classes are designed and balanced, they are removing the freestyle aspect classes used to have. You're looking in the wrong places grandpa. People aren't fighting sausans, orcs, and infinite potion zones anymore, since the free gear given out skips you ahead of all that now. Go check Honglim, DSR, Dokkebi, Nymphamare, and Orbita and you'll likely find people grinding in every single server.

Also one of the reasons you may see less people while grinding is that previously every zone had a "best" rotation of mobs, and that doesn't exist anymore, so people are more spread out and perhaps in a marni realm as well.

I started this game this year infact I didnt realize I could even play it because I thought it was another dumb down version of street fighter that only people goon to and obviously its a little better than that because its not like...street fighter. Some might argue street fighter or marvel snk is better.

The thing about it was that I was a noob by the usual just starting and realizing the community is nice but also technically prone to periods of rage and just mood. But that's not so much of a problem. I realize they are that way because the game devs basically treat them like an inconvenience. I started seeing this with the constant nerfing and punishing of the player base. It's sort of weird then I saw like they are korean and elitest and also hate racists which is incredibly hypocritical then I notice that some players say they abuse their families when they arent abusing the player base and I just can't really play this game anymore. I like it but I barely have anything to do in it even with Edania being just another rip off of every other patch. There is no real art direction I want to be a part of, if thats how the game always goes. I am a 790gs player and I feel like I am not really missing out because they will just fomo until they can rip off more artists for their content. NTA, but Edania is fine. But the issue that most endgame (-ish) players have is that once you past a certain point, which is not THAT hard to get to these days, you are just grinding for Cron Stones. All day all night, its Crons. Its a Cron world. And the best part is you can't even buy the Crons, you have to use the market to try to snipe outfits, which takes some time. What I'd like to see if firstly less importance put on Cron stones, and secondly probably reducing blacksmith Crons stone down to being only slightly more expensive than breaking down outfits. Will they ever do that? Lmao no. But the Cron system is easily the biggest problem with the game, its extremely demoralizing.

I mean it's kinda been like that ever since they added in 5 set debos and you now had to cron an entire wheel of accessory pen attempts, then do it again with kharazad because fuck you if you actually tapped the accessories we literally released 5 months ago to pen. Before that, most were raw tapping or just buying their gear and not really cronning that much except for those just breaking into endgame going for tri attempts on fallen god, and late endgame players tapping pen debo necks and belts. I believe some used crons for tri blackstar attempts but I don't remember, never did it myself. Everyone else was just working on their weapons and red nose accessories, then extras for build swaps or maybe a c20 ultimate green offhand for some specific spots. Ultimately crons weren't that big of a deal. It's weird though how we went from accessories booming on fail and potentially downgrading with crons, and thus people tended to prefer raw tapping accessories, to accessories that you cron almost every step of the way.

I don't believe they added the pity system in good faith either, because it was almost too good for the old gear, and the only thing really wrong with the old gear was that you could theoretically get hard stuck tapping something and never succeed if you didn't play long enough to brute force terrible RNG. That's where the pity system was supposed to come in. That's where increasing the price of crons might not have been such a bad idea. The main issue is that instead of doing what they did with blackstar weapons and fallen god, where their release dates were all years apart and gave people time to go for these without getting left behind too much, they dumped all of this insanely cron-heavy gear onto the playerbase all at once and powercrept entire wheels of gear in such a short span of time, then the blacksmith boxes came just in time for the finale whale milking bonanza.

As someone who has been around Black Desert for like six years but not all that actively, yeah the last one has been pretty fucking insane when gear advancement used to be really slow compared to contemporary MMOs, everything has came in fast and hard. And the current shit is layered on top of shit that was already considered harder to get, the only solution the devs had to alleviate that was just fast-tracking one of each slot.

Blackstar in particular, despite the handouts and pity system, I think still stands out as being a pretty large speedbump if someone wants all Sovereign. You either have to deal with a shitty tug of war with raw taps in a time where players are getting less acclimated to risking downgrades, or pay out the nose if you want to do so safely and lack hammers if not just outright buying the item. It at least would've been nice if the devs did a cron substitute for them or the becoming-defunct Godr-Ayed, not unlike with Slumbering Origin of recency.

Curious if the devs will do something about Kharazad if it's just cheaper to sideline it for PEN Debos, but given this year I suppose we might have to see if the devs finally settle down a bit with the gear climb for a while yet.

It took people like 8 months to actually fully figure out which skills were actually protected, what frames were protected and which part of the skills weren't, which skills were bugged, etc, then it took even longer for people to start figuring out optimal comboes on their class instead of just throwing out random skills. Early bdo had some of the worst and most vague skill descriptions ever, it didn't just tell you which part of the skill was protected or which part was the CC component, hardly anyone knew how to play their classes properly for years. The combat was overall far more clunky and mechanically demanding to be good at compared to now, which is why skilled players who made it look easy stood out much more. It really wasn't easy at all to do what someone like Lemon on tamer or Elsha Uriel was doing on ranger. Honestly I'm not even sure why I'm still responding to you in good faith since you're probably going to say "hurr durr well ackshually the combat boiled down to uhh wallet warrioring and then uhhhh pressing shift LMB on gearlets and like, it was always easy and simple". To assert that the combat system was always as easy at it is now is just lying, but I think you enjoy lying.

Berserker is the easiest on that list to rush through seasonal/early-game stuff with. You can basically just hold Down+RMB and steer your mouse around through 1-hit zones.
You could also give Awaken Wizard a serious shot. I actually find it even easier to grind on than Awaken Witch, and everyone seems to think she's the easiest PVE class.

Fishing seems to be completely random even with 2200 mastery I can't predict the results. I go 3-4 nights without a belt might even go without a single bat star, the next time I get 4-8belties an a tank full of bat stars in a single night.

Usually I sell mine every time they give us an auto activated VP or whenever I have to pop a 1 day loyalty VP myself to claim everything I sold on the market, so I guess that's around once every 2 months. I will postpone the next sale though till I get 6 JIN life XP crystals and till I finish the last batch of money crates I've been preparing. I have mats for 12k plywood crates and another 15k in ingots. That's on top of 50k more junk crates made of cheap ores and vendor mushrooms I'm preparing.

Rounded up I will have around 40k money crates in my next sale. With average profit per crate at 50k silver, that will be around 2b worth of profit compared to selling the processed mats on the market. That doesn't include playing the market and selling when the mat prices are higher. It's fully passive, I know I shouldn't be complaining, but, that's like 3 months of crates to get as much profit as I will get from 40 minutes of coral nagas grinding, or 3 nights of afk fishing. I always tell myself that after this sale I will refund all of the contribution points I have invested in this, storage, lodging, workshops, connecting Valencia to Bukpo, and grab 5-10 more money nodes and start selling mats on the market, it will be easier on the mind, I say. But having this small empire almost fully automated is something that scratches my autism.

I pretty much exclusively make a few crates from Plywood and then whatever leftover crops I have from farming or workers that don't get used for Alchemy. I'm saving all my ores for alchemy stones once they finally update the system, I don't want to spare any for more crates though I am getting lots of ore per day.
I think passive stuff is worth having, and also having it be not reliant on the central marketplace is a good bonus, you wouldn't get that from just selling materials.

My Value Pack runs out in 20 minutes and I'm trying to decide whether to pop another one. I have over a years worth of them saved up so using a seven day one isn't a big deal, but then again I think a break and playing other games might be good for me, I haven't played anything besides BDO, and a bit of HotS, for the last year. There's just so much more that I want to achieve in this game and the more I take a break from it the further all of that is away.

I'm at roughly 750 GS and the event versions of the bosses did dick for damage, but some of them still took a substantial amount of hits when others didn't. There might be a risk of dying from Cartian on one of the collapsible floors, but that's it, you take too little to really learn the fights. DIstance is a very minor factor, all the latency comes from the processing from the signal from the sender to the receiver, not traveling along the wire, which goes at the speed of light. It only starts to matter when you're crossing entire oceans. But even Spain to Poland, or New York to California, the length itself is largely negligible.
