I think IV’s skill tree is miles ahead of other ARPGs, and even RPGs in general. The way it’s an actual tree with one main branch feeding into smaller ones simplifies the scope and lets you immediately know the context of related skills and where you are currently in the tree. Maybe it’s only second to FFX’s skill tree system.

Trying out the free weekend at the moment. What I can say isGame lacks polish in the voice acting, not giving the classes its distinct quips and talk-backs like in D3 reduces the liveliness of the world. In D3 you get the crusader casually mentioning "like cuff in the wind" after beating a horde of enemies, the player characters are mute. In PoE2 has this level of polish. Game likes to take control a lot, especially in the side quests/cinematics. While I do like the cinematics, I have no idea why they'll center the camera during conversations.The reduction of stats and itemization is a sad thing, they don't need to go to PoE autism levels but they reduced it too much.The game is more like a product to buy MTX and its focus on start up rather than just the game itself is telling of its jewish nature.They focused details on the wrong parts of the game - no one cares about achievo grinding. why isn't there like a icon of the NPC when they're speaking? those little details add up. femnecro is qt and i enjoy the nice looks of it, but some of the women are way to fucking ugly. i think poe2's active dodge makes the game a bit more fun. does d4 have a way to let you cast spells and move at the same time?

Did the season last chapter in hardcore (except T4 Lilith, but you don't need that one). Was a nice surprise that all of the objectives weren't retarded and were completely do-able in HC. Think I'll stockpile a whole bunch of obducite and have an entire replacement set ready to go in the event of permadeath, and then I'm going to start the HC paragon grind. Kind of scary going up pit levels past 70...... BTW it takes about 88 scrolls to get an alt through the season bulletin board if you want extra purple sparks to play around with.

I posit that Chaos Rifts are simplified Visions of Enmity in open world/dungeon form. They greatly boosted the progression of the game via the buffs and powers they give for interacting with them on top of gear, the fastest aberrant cinder farming, and huge bonus xp/rep.

I can't believe the bear and wolf transformations still don't have any cosmetic changes with purchased skins. Is it really so hard to add fur in the form of the Zerg logo? Or a tentacle or two? We could have a skinny raven and a fat raven instead of a bear and wolf for that skin, or a big rat for the Rat King skin.I would buy a lot more skins if they took the time to add small details for the transformations. The whisper caches have breathed new life into the PvP zones, and by that I mean AFKing at the boss spawn because it was dead when you got there. Also a barb saw me camping it and flagged up and died off screen to a lightning spear.

Alright im done. Overall I give season 10 a 6/10. Chaos armors are alright but the best build enabling ones are more rare than mytics. Not being able to trade for them means you spend days on end farming boring rifts and repetitive infernal hordes. The new infernal horde waves are a step in the right direction but are still lacking. The most fun wave they added is the aether goblins. Everything else is shit because enemy don't spawn quickly enough. You get to a point where you run out of enemy in infernal hordes and sit around waiting for something else to spawn.Another issue with the hordes are the spires. Just remove that shit because they slow everything down for no reason. Why the fuck do spires constantly spawn even though you don't take any of the spire boons? What would be more fun are tons of masses. Waves of 20 hellborne, an army of aether fiends. It's like blizzard forgot that the game needs to be FUN. Also many boons are bugged and don't stack correctly. The lingering aether lords completely breaks the zone because it never spawns and forces you to wait until it disappears leaving nothing behind. The boon where masses spawn at the start of the wave doesn't stack correctly if you choose it more than one time only 2 masses will spawn instead of 4 or even 6. I remember selecting the mass boon thinking they would spawn instantly one after the other but nope. Only 2 ever spawned at the start of the wave despite choosing 6 to spawn through boons. Blizzard must have gotten lazy and didn't bother develop synergy between the boons correctly. If a boon is only supposed to work once then why let us choose it two or even three extra times providing zero benefit? Lazy Blizzard lazy. Also, instead of a boon saying "chance" for fiend to spawn or "chance" for hellborne to spawn just make it a guaranteed spawn. Why add an extra layer of RNG to this. Overall the new infernal horde stuff is a good start but it still feels like it isn't enough.

Spires force you to sit and wait for enough enemy to enter the circle. It doesn't matter if spires spawn instantly when there are no enemy around to complete them. Also, I know for a fact the mass spawns are at least bugged. I have purposely selected 4 mass spawns on wave start, only for 2 masses to spawn.
