My Hero Ultra Rumble is a F2P battle royale game based off the My Hero Academia anime. It features various characters from the series (with more to be added), each with a unique playstyle and different costumes. Team up with other players or go in solo and try to become the champion!

His 50 is really good for both versions of Dabi, imo. I'd invest in his 50 if not only because of critical permeation as it allows him to do an interruptible strike beta and/or guarantees that your special action goes off. For red you either pick willpower or ability manifest, and I think you should go for ability manifest as strike dabi. The 70 PUR with wall runner and revenge support isn't as good to me, but it should give you a little bit of survivability and mobility.

My ideal costume for him is his hoodie, which would let him have Critical Permeation and Wall Runner.
However, if you don't want to wait to tune him, my recommendation would be the Wall Runner costume. Divine Protection, Revenge Support, and Warp Heal would all be decent pairings with it.

One of Dabi's biggest weaknesses is his lack of mobility. He frequently can't push advantages because if the enemy has any mobility at all, they can just fly up to a rooftop and be healed by the time Dabi can climb up there. It also gives him a hard time when trying to escape enemies himself.
Yeah, you can carry Rapid cards for this, but that takes up inventory space so you can't comfortably carry more than like, two, if you want to also carry Support cards.

If you do decide that you want Critical Permeation more, I'd recommend Ability Manifest instead of Willpower. Without mobility, he is unlikely to escape after his Willpower is triggered, but Ability Manifest would give him more value out of Rapid cards and Support cards.

One thing to bear in mind is that at level 10, your permeation isn't going to last the full duration of a big shield potion unless you start drinking pretty much immediately. If the triggering attack causes any kind of knockdown, the recovery time is going to eat into your permeation and make it wear off before the potion finishes.
The enemy will only have a small window to damage you, but it's still a concern. As Tech Dabi, vs beamers, you can sit inside/behind one of your already-placed traps for safety. Dabi's traps can eat exactly one projectile, so it might end up shielding you just long enough to actually finish the potion.

First of all, always keep one rainbow card in your inventory unless you REALLY need it. Having one means that if someone dies, you can just run over their loot pile spamming the pickup button and always get their level cards, because they just go into the existing stack. Otherwise, even if you have room in your inventory, you risk accidentally filling it up with the enemy's dropped potions first and then trying to drop stuff to make more room for the level cards mid-fight and it's just a huge hassle.

As for why I keep a bunch, it's to ensure that ability cards don't go to waste levels-wise. This is especially the case for non-Supports, who get way less value out of their class's ability cards than Supports can.
For example, let's say you're playing AfO and you find a bunch of rainbows. You instantly max beta, but is there a reason to do it so soon? You're not in a fight or anything.
10 seconds later, you come across two purple beta cards from red boxes. But you've already maxed your beta, so those basically just go in the trash.
If you had waited to use the rainbow cards, you would've been able to put those two purple cards into your beta levels, resulting in you having two more rainbow cards to devote to your other abilities/leveling Support cards/etc.

Even while playing Kurogiri, with whom I frequently make use of Support cards for healing, it still helps to have more control over the levels I pick up.
For example, maybe I've already got two level 4 Support cards. If I had maxed my gamma and come across a green gamma card after that, I COULD put it in my inventory as well, but I only have so much space. If, instead, I waited longer to max my gamma, then that gamma card could go into my gamma levels and that's one more rainbow card I can keep in reserve to act as fuel for a Support card I find later when maybe I've already burned through one or two of my current ones.

Kurogiri in particular has even more leisure to do this than most characters because he can pick his engagements early on in the match where there's ample space to move, as long as he has beta level 4. He doesn't truly NEED to level anything past that until he's ready to go on the offensive, though I do typically go for beta 7 at my earliest convenience in tournament settings, since players tend to chase harder there.

I don't see how the number of rainbow cards has any effect on this. Unless you mean time spent toggling auto-level-up to pick up Support cards/click+dragging the rainbow cards to level the Support cards, in which case yes it's absolutely worth it. For late-game storm plays, a single level 3/4 Support card can be the difference between a team wipe and a comeback.

I see, I get what you're saying. Slight play style difference, but it's logical and efficient.
Generally, I do keep at least 1 rainbow or more if I'm unable to reach a power spike and/or if I'm in a loot zone with a lot of unopened red boxes.

In general, I'd say yes. There's too much mobility in the game that allows people to surprise you with very little (if any) sound cues. It can make a difference if you are to react with an underpowered beta or have to max out your beta and then use it. Whereas, having reached said power spike, you are able to react faster and potentially get a down or KO, minimizing the chance of losing and cutting down the number of teams/players that survive until the late game based on that one interaction, which is something I value a lot in this meta. It doesn't always go according to plan, but it's something to keep in mind. Thanks for sharing.

Case-by-case basis. Some tunings work, others don't.
For example, Wall Runner works just fine whether transformed or not, but Space Hop doesn't work while transformed. Maybe the ones that don't work will still work if the enemy ALSO has the same tuning (I've heard that High-Speed Replenishment is like this) but it's not a very reliable workaround even if that's the case.

I don't believe other guard break tunings like the revenge tunings function while transformed, but I don't know about critical permeation specifically. A surefire way to find out would be testing it in Training Mode, but if you can't spare the data, I can test it myself later tonight.

I just tested it out using the tuning swap bug and it doesn't work while transformed nor does it work when de-transforming during the 7 second period, the clock keeps running and you gain nothing. There goes one of the strongest meta builds, revenge support + crit perm.

Red Shiggy's damage is overtuned, and it's very easy to rack up damage, especially through third-partying.
Mt Lady's giant form, when used right, is still generally an instant win button with high damage moves that hit through walls, and her combos still give cheap damage.
Nejire, while at a disadvantage in the meta, is not weak. Great damage and flight, people just don't know how to play her. Her ability to float around and shoot downwards during a chaotic team fight is underrated. A lot of people tried to play her by mostly holding down beta while still on the ground, and then got beamed to death trying to charge a gamma (still on the ground), and wrote her off.
Invisibility IS hard to see in game. There are characters with easier combos and better mobility, but Tamaki survives longer and his beta giving invisibility/speed is one of the big reasons. Also, endgame orbital laser airstalling, combined with enemies that then forget to go after him once he falls back to the ground.
Blue Hawks is still viable. He's fast and can get free damage through feather spamming and driveby betas, all without stopping his movement. Also his fangirls love him, they'll play him no matter what.

He can stay airborne with Space Hop, but he'll still be in the range of beamers. He can't really just fly up to the skybox from ground level.

YfO's alpha is your basic beamer alpha, but with a delayed splash damage explosion. The beam itself is on the weaker end of beamer alphas damage-wise (about equivalent to Mic's alpha without his boombox) but gets good DPS when paired with the explosions. It's most effective when fired from elevation, since that makes it easier to hit the enemy directly without the explosion going too far behind them. It has the same ammo count and reload speed as Tech Shoto's alpha, for comparison.

YfO's beta has two versions. The short-press version is sort of a combination of Strike Shiggy's alpha and Asschaco's gamma. The meteors it drops have a soft knockdown, but depending on how the attack lands you might end up hitting one or two of the meteors on the same enemy, making the damage inconsistent. If you're quick, you can even combo in an alpha.
The long-press version always consumes all beta ammo, so there's never any reason not to drop a short-press first if you intend to drop the big meteor. It's a massive AoE that deals around 200 damage on impact, and touching it deals tiny ticks of 5 damage each. However, these damage ticks stagger, so if you're in the AoE when the meteor hits, the explosion is undodgeable unless you're armored. There's 3 seconds between the AoE indicator appearing and the meteor hitting, so there's time to react and either move laterally away from the AoE or, if you have an aerial armored move with enough range, you can actually go straight up through the meteor.
The big meteor does not pass its impact damage through walls, there needs to be a clear line-of-sight between the center of the explosion and the enemy. The enemy DOES still take multiple 5-damage ticks through walls for touching the meteor, so it can be used to interrupt heals through walls, but it's not very good at it.

His gamma is odd. It lets you fly around for 11 seconds shooting projectiles, before exploding in an AoE. The AoE can deal up to 210 damage at level 9 and basically functions like a giant Strike Denki beta, except it doesn't pass through walls. Also, it ONLY explodes if you're able to completely run out the flight time on his gamma. If you get grabbed/knocked out of it, or end it early yourself, you get no explosion and you can't use your gamma again until it fully recharges. The recharge takes quite a long time, 17 seconds from empty at level 9, and 21 seconds at level 1.
While flying with gamma, you have armor that reduces both damage and down power of incoming attacks. Grab moves will still pull you out of it instantly, though.
While flying, you can press gamma again to shoot big projectiles that deal pretty mediocre damage for how low the rate of fire is (only slightly more damage than your alpha beams) but each projectile does have soft knockdown.
His gamma has okay strafing speed, but the descending speed isn't great and the ascending speed is VERY slow. You're not shooting up to the skybox in a couple seconds with this the way Kurogiri can with his gamma. The best way to avoid getting beamed out of the sky while using it is probably to quickly shuffle side-to-side to make it more difficult for the enemy to track you. Fighting one enemy is no problem because your projectiles knock them out of unarmored moves, but the rate of fire is too slow to handle more than one enemy having their focus on you.

His special action flight travels at a pretty good pace. It feels like it's halfway between Hawks's flight speed and Endeavor's flight speed. You gain a little height when activating it, but otherwise can't ascend or descend, and you can't hover. You can use your alpha and your SA attack without interrupting your flight, as long as you're pointing them roughly in front of you. If you try to shoot behind you, you'll stop flying.
It costs about 42% of your meter to start flying, and the remaining 58% is enough to fly for 8 seconds.
There's no requirement to touch the ground for his SA to start recharging, so if you use your gamma after your flight runs out, it'll be recharged by the time your gamma ends and you can fly again. You can't do this forever though, since your gamma recharge is so long.
Because the flight costs such a big chunk to activate, it's more of a travel tool than a mid-fight maneuvering tool like Endeavor's, Hawks's, and Nejire's are.

His SA attack costs 15% charge to fire, but an additional 30% charge is consumed if it hits an enemy. It deals 50 damage and shuts off their SA for 10 seconds. This includes passive SAs/ones where you don't have to actually press the button, like Hawks's flight and Iida's wall running. It will also deactivate some SAs mid-use, though not all. It will force Mt. Lady to shrink, but it won't un-transform Toga.

YfO's grounded melee is pretty good, one of the better ones in the game. 117 total damage per combo, and the first hit has very good range, speed, and tracking. YfO doesn't generally want to be near enemies, though, so it's more of a last resort. His air melee is unique in that it not only carries no momentum, but actually sends him backward. I think it's meant to be for shoving enemies away.

YfO's worst matchups are characters who have shields or can create their own cover. Assault Kendo and Strike Kiri can block everything in his arsenal except his short-press beta, and Kiri actually has the range to fight back and the speed to chase. Same goes for Cementoss's blocks, Shoto's ice, even Momo's beta shield will all block all of YfO's attacks except for his special action and his short-press beta. Asschaco can even avoid his held beta by spawning a gamma platform as soon as she sees the AoE, because once the platform rises it will be between her and the impact point, and shield her from the damage.
Compress's beta can reflect YfO's alphas and gamma projectiles, but does nothing against YfO's AoEs.
Tech Mirio's gamma will counter everything in AfO's arsenal except the giant meteor. It will still protect him from the meteor, but the counter won't activate.

YfO doesn't have a whole lot of ammo and has fairly long cooldowns, and in addition, doesn't have very many tools to deal with enemies who are in his face. He will probably be similar to Assault Endeavor in that he will be a menace in third parties/when supported by his team, but will have a hard time when being directly pressured.
Due to his cooldowns, he's very level-hungry. I'd probably recommend getting alpha to 4 first and then getting beta to 9. Beta does good damage even at level 1, but he needs the cooldown reduction because his beta is an important staggering tool.

He's pretty strong as a mid-range/backliner. He doesn't do so hot when pressured, but he fares better than Assault Endeavor in that regard because he has more tools to keep an attacker off of him (SA stab can interrupt non-armored moves, gamma can lock someone down by either knocking them down repeatedly or forcing them to roll.)
He crumbles in 2v1s, though, and he can't outrun the more mobile characters.

He also gets hard countered by quite a few characters. Kendo and Strike Kiri can easily block his entire kit, Compress can block most of his projectiles, any grab character will mess him up because he's frequently airborne and grabs go through his gamma's armor, Ibara can severely hurt him, Cementoss can make his own shelters from the AoEs, etc.
Meanwhile Rapid Deku doesn't really have any significant counters except, ironically, YfO. None of Rapid Deku's moves are armored except his grounded alpha, so YfO's ranged staggering/soft knockdown moves can interrupt all of them.

Hard to say without seeing your gameplay.
How often are you meleeing? It's one of his best tools and is generally very easy to start combos with in 1v1 contexts.
Are you utilizing his grounded alpha properly? It's a hard knockdown, which means it can interrupt anything the enemy tries to do. You can do this repeatedly to shut someone down pretty hard. It's also armored, so if an enemy is in your face with a staggering move like Momo's alpha, you can use Rapid Deku's grounded alpha to get them off of you.

That stayed the same. The only thing they did change was the fact that gamma can no longer go through your beta, and will instead bounce off of it regardless of how close you are. Which means, you can no longer do certain plays in relative safety anymore. For example, you used to be able to do a high beta wall, pop it with aimed alpha, gamma and it'd spawn on the other side, giving you a strong, defensive moving wall that also doubled as offense. This is on top of the alpha ice change during Monoma's season, iirc which nerfed the duration his ice stayed on the floor, allowing melee characters like Iida or Yellow Kiri to get in on him easier.

There has never been any evidence that it is possible to "hijack" someone's MHUR account. The only other such claim, which was like 6-8 months ago, was also made by Taz.
The issue he referenced where users lost access to their accounts and had to email Bandai to get it fixed was due to hacking, but was not an instance of "hacked accounts." ToxSylph (or whoever, but that was the culprit everyone settled on) used an exploit to overflow the like counter of the victims' profiles high enough that attempting to load the profile caused the game to throw an error. This prevented other users from being able to view the victims' profiles, and prevented the victims from being able to log in at all (because logging in would attempt to load their profile, run into the error, and return to the title screen.)
Bandai fixed it by resetting the victims' like counters for that season to 0, and I've never heard of it happening after that season, so I expect the exploit was patched.

I don't think there's anything to this.
This smells to me like either he legitimately got caught hacking and had to manufacture a "No, actually it was my brother playing on my account!" story to save face, or he saw the clip of someone impersonating him and thought "How can I blow this up into a story that I can milk for views?" as Taz is a notorious clickbaiter.

In my opinion, Nejire's absolute best tuning is Space Hop.
She tends to benefit mobility-wise from being in the air a lot, and Space Hop gives you as much height as an uncharged gamma whenever you want, for free.
If you manage your Special Action properly it shouldn't really ever run out, but Young AfO's tuning could still be nice for recharge on both that and your attacks.
Critical Permeation is good on everyone, but Nejire is one of the characters who benefits more than others because she can still maneuver in midair with her hover without breaking the invincibility.
I've seen people use Willpower with her, but to me it feels like she doesn't have enough mobility to get away alive on 1 HP.
Maybe Acceleration? You could test that out in Training Mode by using two Rapid cards to approximate the effect.

Personally, my tuning for Nejire is her Miss Con Costume with Card Duplication and Space Hop.

Well, all your exchange points are on Young AfO's banner, which is a character (or "original character"). Tech Denki is a skillset ("alternative character").
The two gacha pools are not shared. On a character banner, you can neither roll for nor exchange for skillsets, and vice versa.
Meaning Tech Denki won't even show up in your exchange options for that banner.
