Try messing with the launcher's save setting, it should let you create a new blank one or port a vanilla one, jist dont forget to uncheck "use default savefile"
Most mod characters should are unlocked by default (only exception being starstorm's) so those might just be the normal behaviour

I tried to do that but I wasn't able to keep my 100% save.
Messing around with the save.json file let me unlock every vanilla thing except Huntress, Merc and Engi since they need unique values to unlock instead of 2 like every other survivor/item.
Could you please look into your save file and tell me what the value for unlocked huntress is? I can easily unlock the other two but Huntress needs grabbing monster logs but I already have all of them in my save so that seems impossible.

No you're right because the Halcyon shrine always gives you an extra void potential that could have a legendary in it, lets you skip the teleporter event, and then going in the green portal gives you the extra Prime Meridian stage which still stops time and gives you guaranteed large chests in it. If you're going for the most items in the least amount of time that definitely seems the most optimal.
If you have time to spare you could always do the Halcyon shrine after the TP event to get the item and then avoid taking the portal otherwise. I've done that a few times.

It's pretty clear he got tired of game dev. Didn't ever think about any plans for what to do with RoR post SotV, said he didn't want to work on RoR anymore, sold off his baby, didn't even bother finishing his game afterwards.

You're right in saying that the two new bosses kind of just "attack the stage" and "Mithrix being a more personal fight"
But to me, the two new ones feel a lot more fun to fight because they don't boil down to:

It is the best item in the dlc by far for me, it's so easy to maintain that I usually have the buff fully stacked 90% of the time just by playing normally, and 2 crit white items means crit is now way easier to stack, as easy as it was in the early access I'd say.
I also love that it existing means survivors not named bandit or railgunner can pick up lost seer lenses without bricking your run.

Because it's another common source of stacking crit, taking the seer lenses won't completely shut you out of crits

I never have and never will understand this opinion. Freezing is the single strongest ability in the game, both of her secondary attacks do great damage and one of them is a second source of freeze, after the buffs her fire primary is fine, her mobility is great
The biggest problems I have with her is host sided projectile attacks and the momentum system in this game sometimes trapping you in GBJ if you float at the wrong time but that's a system issue not Arti
I don't think her primary being tied to a cooldown is as big an issue as people say

New DLC is pretty good, not perfect but they clearly learned from the previous two DLCs and actually improved a lot in most aspects, especially in terms of the bosses and gameplay design. The items are a bit underwhelming but that might be for the better after Void and Seekers were both laughable in terms of balance. Music is good but Chris is a sperg so he only featured on two of the tracks and it's very noticeable. Probably also for the best since he clearly just phoned the SotS tracks in.

I need to renew my hater license.
Is beating Eclipse 8 or Eclipse 10 or whatever the dumb number is any more easier now or am I still screwed in trying? I didn't clear them when farming Void Fields infinitely was still a thing so I missed out, and then I burned out while spending day/weeks trying to clear runs on every char.

That's good to hear. I spent a lot of time wondering why playing with the DLC on was so miserable and I eventually realised it was just the stupid fucking bats 95% of the time. They spawn 90 degrees above your head, the camera is locked to like 80 or whatever so you have to not only do a 180 and look up to shoot them, you have to move awkward to even have a chance at getting them in your reticle. And then you have to shoot 4+ of them in 0.5 seconds before they snipe you with a 600% projectile that has infinite speed so it might as well be hitscan. And all this is assuming you heard their silent as hell spawn noise. Whoever designed and playtested that shit only played with Engis I swear.

Nope, they are still there. There's a caveat though, time is stopped only while you're activating a cell or when all of them have been activated, in the meantime between cells time runs normally. It's also considerably harder to cheese since the void damage can't be reduced and scales faster so on most survivors you want to have an already decent build before you attempt it, so it's probably still fucked if you want to use it to cheese eclipse but a good high risk high reward stage otherwise.
I know for a fact operator can clear it on stage 1 monsoon regardless of items unless rng fucks you over with monster items

operator is really love at first sight (I wanted a drone survivor for a while) and luckily has been very fun from the get go, he'll probably will be my new main but I gotta try out drifter next whenever I unlock them, lootgoblin is also another combat archetype I enjoy seeing

I played drifter some more and I noticed that collecting junk can be either really fast or really slow, when it's fast flying enemies are much easier to deal with (but it's still a bit clunky because you're throwing 'nades', not shooting hitscan projectiles)

this hinges on two things:
>hitting multiple enemies with your melee chain
>capturing enemies and tossing them

the latter would be a consistent way to generate junk if not for the fact that capturing certain enemies seems to have them pop out right after without generating junk so it's a wasted cooldown every time, maybe it's a bug or maybe it's intended but normalizing junk generation and capture time across the board would make it feel a lot better, capturing a golem or elder lemurian is funny but ultimately wastes a valuable action when I do it

in addition to the above, I think repossess could be a lot better if:
>carrying interactables didn't slow you down so much, the fact that it does kinda negates the utility of the skill if it takes you five times as long to cross the map
>it had charges that refunds itself if you don't capture an enemy and upon the end of the leap

tried the junk cube and you're right, it fucks
pretty much had full scrap constantly so that meant spamming even more junk cubes for massive burst damage and all those utility uses you mentioned were there and more

if it has a weakness, it replaces the default ability that can be reliably used against airborne targets from below and in midair and becomes a dead slot against certain enemies, most notably the dlc3 bosses, the junk cubes sometimes can stay ontop of something large enough and long enough to get to the final stage but 95% of the time, it just falls off and litters the ground below
yeah, this ability would be absolutely broken if not for the opportunity cost and making drifter's biggest weakness even more apparent but this is probably mitigated by a lot in coop (I've been only soloing) since someone else can pick up the slack and drifter could just delete everything the junk cubes can reach

he feels pretty strong to me, maybe you were playing the op ones?

I used both secondaries a lot and couldn't decide for a while but eventually I settled on default because you can keep sprinting and it has better synergy with items
for utility, I also tried both and the firewall is largely for the comical value of pushing stuff over cliffs and even got a monster to clip through the ground from sheer speed but ultimately the mobility one is better
the special is to preference but the default is imo the better one as with certain items you can throw it out every second and the damage increase from the special itself and nanobug racks up very quick, achievable in the first loop with good rng but the alternate is always good but requires micromanaging which gets tedious and eventually outscaled when proc chains are doing all the work

items for drones are a no brainer but the real monster is luminous shot since you get free charges as you get more drones
barrier drones are powerful for the same reason, just one or two in your roster and you can get your special to reset constantly and get permanent nanobug on bosses, I had two by stage 3 and melted everything while juggling bosses nonstop

The drone abilities don't seem to scale very well on Monsoon, the special is probably his best one because it (IIRC) doubles the damage an enemy takes but it's more of a support ability because his DPS is subpar and he's very squishy. Maybe I need to unlock his alt skills first.

being close to an enemy doesn't mean instant death for drones like it does for players, they have big hp since they scale with ambient level
by the time drones getting close to an enemy is instant death for them you should have long since scaled past the point where drone damage is anything but negligible

the main reason drones suck is because their AI is dumb, they jerk off doing whatever, lure shit like magma worms across the entire map, don't avoid attacks and when faced with shit that just kills you if not avoided like vagrant explosion, titan laser, grandparent sun, etc. they just keel over dead
the alt secondary lets you pull all the little retards scattered across the map to your exact position to focus fire on whatever, and it also lets you pull them out of harm's way when something is killing them

several reasons,

Hate how some of the primaries work in this game. Making Artificer's primary a cool down makes it unsatisfying to use.

My biggest issue is her special, I don't think a mage archetype should want to be in close range; especially when she has no mobility. It's contradictory. I'd be able to forgive her a lot more otherwise, I think.

I'd simply want what RiskyMod does and make his grenades explode on contact. That alone makes it great. I'd also kill for MUL-T's rockets to scale better, they could be so much fun. I do want to ask though, does anyone like the burst of nails MUL-T's primary does after you stop shooting it. To me it makes it feel so sluggish to use.

That would still be mediocre because the bouncing is inconsistent and it rolls everywhere you don't need it to. If that weren't the case, I'd agree that it would be a nice alternative if it also had a larger aoe for crowd clearing to coincide with its bouncing mechanic.

I think what he needs is an improvement to his utility and special skills, all four of them, his primary and secondaries are fine, buff the numbers on them if needed

I like it when in games where the basic starter character/class is one of the biggest monsters while being simple to pick up and play, but usually in those games that one is the standard for balance rather than being powercrept like commando is

If you're attacking one target alone it increases your damage by 250%, let alone with how much extra damage aoe does.
