i wonder how many more buffs she can receive before balance completely tips over and she becomes just straight up overpowered

so how are you suppose to play madda? she loses gun fights even if her enemy is on paint, her gun has the worst spread so if they paper youre just unable to hit even with spread control and recoil upgrade. shes also really slow AND loses ADS duels simply because of her fire rate, even non snipers can deal more damage faster and more accurately when ADSing. i really want to enjoy her but she just completely relies on her team mates to do anything.

There are a lot more distances in this game than "sniper territory" and "jumping around in your face."
As far as being twice as good as a sniper, she can probably fire nearly 3x as fast while allowing her aim to reset, or even faster if you go for headshot into double bodyshot(or the other way around).
There's plenty of places where she will kill faster than than automatic weapons without needing to be a sniper.
Reiichi is literally fucking dogshit right now even with his utility. Maddy has plenty of utility and more consistent damage.

controller pretty much works entirely now, they finished menu support for the dpad which was lacking at first i remember. only thing that stands out is i don't think there's full remapping ingame, you'd maybe have to use steam input if you wanted weird buttons or to use the paddles
joystick and gyro but it's a steam deck so you can do whatever you want
no they turned that off a while back because it was overtuned and haven't touched it since

I've been in quark lobbies where people still dont know how to spot early for defense and run around like headless chickens doing jackshit
Ironically, challenge mode, the game mode with no stakes has better players.
The difference is night and day and my expectations for "ranked sweats" was so thoroughly shattered that I dread ever queueing for ranked ever again.

In challenge at least I expect it, for ranked there are people who choose to queue for the competitive mode in spite of being complete retards. Which would be ok if they got segregated to their own little ghetto pool of players but no, they're running around with competent and really good players on the same team like they belong.

I used to play CS (and that has 100x the playerbase of Strinova) and the amount of retards I got in ranked was pretty similar. I played in LEM lobbies and people still had no clue when or how to peek, didn't know basic utility spots, etc.

I swear people who moan about Strinova teammates never played other comp games.

Strinova's matchmaking isn't even trying to give you balanced teams.
At Electron you get Protons and Atoms on your team while you have to fight against fellow Electrons (and maybe a couple Protons if you're lucky)

All of that makes matches extremely one-sided, which removes any thrill from the game. Why continue playing if the match result is obvious from the first 2-3 rounds?

I play both Rivals and Overwatch and Strinova is a trillion times worse in my experience. Possibly because the demo mode has no respawns so people can't have hot and cold moments as often, once a shit player dies they just stay dead and can't pad their stats and because they're shit they die almost instantly.
