Its still pretty well populated tho i stopped playing in favor of arc raiders.
It has similar vibes of social interactions and opportunities to betray people but the overarching game is just better.
And the pve enemies are actual threats its great

yea, servers generally are full. i only use it to practice my english speaking though

the dayz general on /vg/ back in the day was so fucking funny

I've played the mod, could get back into it ig, was pretty fun to play casually. Beautiful map, less dopamine-fried version of BR, flee from zombies simulator.
