It's just a stupidly content rich game considering it's an underdog from 20 years ago that was outshined by wow and ffxi and the gameplay loop is insanely comfy.

bros... i would play this so much, me and my brothers eventually all had our own ps2 just so we could all play, i was never even good like them -- they had max level necromancers and shitim the youngest and would just constantly bounce between new chars, stopping at like level 15-20 or sothe only chars i remember getting to level 17(?) when you can do those quests to get their distinct class set was a (burly snow biome race?) barb and an elf rogue, who got a blue and black class set respectivelyi pissed my brother off one day and he beat me up and deleted my rogue though, that might have been before i got my own ps2 and had to use his account and stuff... very sad times, she wasnt too high of a level but i did get the whole set and remember liking that classspent a lot of time killing those wasps at the hive across various characters, and my highest level one i ever got was an enchanter, i was def able to summon one of those genie guys, maybe high 20s, low 30s -- that class's set color was yellowrangers had the green set... SoW... oh man i gotta set this up
