I love it overall of course, but I dislike the plot contrivance that Zakuul is competent when offscreen, but incompetent when on screen. It's the Episode 4 stormtrooper issue all over again.Like they conquer the entire galaxy in 8 months, yet when they interact with us in any way, suddenly they just fall apart. I just did "Disavowed" and the idea that they can't find anyone in the swamp is silly, the idea that you can take over a Zakuul FOB and then just say "Good job today folks, let's head back to camp" and you just walk away to a nearby camp and go to sleep is absurd. For a civilization that has millions of droids who are also accompanied by force sensitive knights to just....not search for a group of terrorists who took over a FOB for some reason is so absurd. And the idea that you can take over the base and install a computer spike and that just...works is also absurd. Imagine if a terrorist organization took over a real life military compound, did stuff for a few minutes, then left. Do you think the intelligence operatives who worked there would just...walk back inside and start using the computers again as if nothing happened?Which is just one example of a larger ongoing narrative problem, which is that at some point, in every mission, skytroopers just stop trying. They stop showing up.And shuttles. You're always shuttling around everywhere, and there's no traffic control or scanning. You always just blow something up, and then hop away in a shuttle. Zakuul has nothing keeping track of shuttles in the air...And don't even get me started on the Gravestone. It was sitting in a swamp within eyesight of several spires shown in the background of this image, which belong to an advanced society that has, I quote, "sensor technology that is almost twice as good as ours". It even has structural elements that are jutting up above the treeline. Within eyesight of some spires.Oh well...I should stop being autistic and just enjoy the story.

>>2092925Nah don't worry about mods honestly. If you need a gear boost while leveling do heroics, they give you on or above character-level blue gear. But if you're only doing story and side quests below 60 you should be ok with story and side quest reward gear, which will normally be planet-level greens but that should be ok for story and side quests.There are also flashpoints, which give character-level greens and blues. Flashpoints also happen to be a good and fast way to level, and they also have a good weekly mission for conquest points. So the overall best thing for leveling, conquest, and gear for a new character would be flashpoints. If you want to level or gear faster. The most relaxed thing to do is not worry about it and just do the story and only the story+side quests until you're max level, then start thinking about gear, since when you're 80 is when you unlock the 340+ gear that you'll be using for everything else like veteran/master mode flashpoints and operations and pvp and all that. Not caring about gear until you get max level is another common suggestion.

I love swtor so much. I try every new mmo and I buy like every new rpg, some are fun some aren't, but I always end up back with comfy swtor. But stuff like that is always subject to change. But Engi/Saboteur can get a burst too with a specific tactical. People really only use that in pvp though but it's really satisfying because it just deletes of half a player's health bar in 1 second (in arena good players will be prepared and will prevent it with defensive cooldowns tho because the build up is obious)

hi everyone, can anyone give me a brief rundown on how easy the game is to jump into f2p? I actually played it gosh, maybe 15 years ago with a sub that let you play through the class storylines without having to grind or do side quests (does the game even have side quests?) and really enjoyed it. It applies to repair stuff as well, which is convenient. Most vendors (including the revan holostatue) can repair broken gear.I do advice joining a guild, because you get various perks for doing so. You get guild conquest rewards at the end of the week, and most guilds also have guild ship character perks like crafting or run speed or all kinds of things. It's nothing major, but you may as well since there's no downside. And if you choose well, then the guild you join will also organize events like weekly operations (raids) or socials or seasonal progress events and all kinds of things. Sanctuary is the biggest guild so they do daily operations, but you can look around and find one that suits you since that one is super huge and so many people is not everyone's style. If your friends are new then don't worry about operations since that's endgame stuff but the other guild benefits apply all the time. And most guilds will allow you to essentially just ignore it if you don't want to socialize, and you just contribute your conquest points and collect your conquest rewards.

We got married when she was about 45 or so.The class stories take about 3 years, which means Forged Alliances is about 4ish years after character creation. So I met her when my jedi was about 19. A prodigy jedi that has no reason to have been held back and grew up in the temple as a youngling as part of their canon backstory so wasn't accepted late, preparing for their padawan trials, is going to about 12-14 years old. So assuming the upper range for the sake of realism, the consular is about 14 during chapter 1, and about 17 at the end of the class story. So met Lana at about 18-19 during Forged Alliances. I don't know how we count carbonite freezing in the equation, but that still puts her about half of Lana's age when they got married. Pretty funny.A couple other funny things about age in swtor: Nadia is actually older than Kira despite Kira being the one seen as worldly and Nadia being the one seen as childish, Lana and Theron are "around the same age" so the above numbers apply to him too and we know his age from his novel about him, and Mako is the youngest human-like lifespan companion at 19. A few of the other species like Blizz and Scorpio have different lifespan measurements.

The force users getting stabbed by Arcann makes a lot more sense when you examine the scene again. Valkorion intentionally distracts you and then suddenly unfreezes time specifically to throw you off, so you get stabbed, so he could save you, so he could hold that over you. It suddenly makes a lot more sense. Valkorion did it on purpose. The scene even plays out with you talking to him then suddenly Arcann is attacking again and you have to shift focus and that is when you get stabbed. Imagine if two tae kwon do masters are dueling and one of them has a schizophrenic episode where the voices are talking to him in the middle of a match. Arcann is no slouch, he's still the son of Valkorion and Senya, and so that momentary lapse in attention is all he needs to beat you even if you're better in theory.There's no convenient excuse like this for some of the other moments where the force users run from Vaylin or Arcann or whoever, but that particular scene, I actually do think they covered their asses pretty well with some details of the choreography.

We likely will see another subscriber login event, but whether or not the exclusive droid customizations will be on the next one is less likely. But they were the only exclusive thing on this one's inventory, so maybe there will be one or two exclusive things each time. Everythign else was obtainable through vendors or the cartel market.The subscriber login event is a great way to reintroduce previous timed event items people may have missed in the past, which is something people ask for a lot. There have been several times over the years I was just busy or traveling so I missed something and it wasn't my fault, so I hope they do make past items an option. Or what a lot of games do is they will make a color shifted version of the item, so the original item is still truly exclusive, but there is a colorshifted item that is functionally identical for everyone else who came later.
