I just realized it's been over 5 years since I enjoyed a multiplayer game

Every game I've played in recent memory I just did because it was fotm I had to give a shot at, I wanted to complete some battlepass progression get fomo drops, pointless rank chasing and playing because I had no other game to play

Give me your best recommendation to bring my joy back

I quit games altogether. Anything live service is a soulless cash grab. Most single player stuff is too busy pandering to someone to be actually good, and that aside most of it is incredibly poorly written regardless. Get out and start restoring your dopamine response to its natural state, unless your idea of the good life is following a pixel carrot on a stick for the rest of your life.

what turns you off about games?
Here's some games that brought me back to life that I love that came out recently
>Against the Storm (Singleplayer)
Roguelite City Builder. It's addictive and the systems in it work so well together. You will be confused a little at the start but it'll click if you give it time. I also love the OST. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MtA1BAeeOAE
>Abiotic Factor (Multiplayer but I played SP mostly, it is fun with friends the 20~ hours I played it with them)
It's Half Life 1 with Survival Crafting Elements. This is probably my favorite game ever. It feels exactly like exploring Black Mesa. I love the world in this, there's a ton of emails and voice recordings talking about what's going on. The basebuilding is very fun and satisfying and the map is incredible. The way it slowly opens up more and more as you explore and interconnects is awesome. You will spend 8 hours exploring and then finally walk back to where you feel safe and then spend another 8 hours building a base. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MAvH9T__jLQ
>Voices of the Void (Singleplayer)
You run a signal recording station out in the deep boonies. It's a really busy work game where spooky shit happens to you while you search the night sky for alien signals. If you like doing little granular tasks like turning knobs and driving an atv in circles to write down numbers from computer terminals and scrubbing dirt off walls this game is very good. It's also a free game you have to get on Itch.io
>Elden Ring Nightreign (Multiplayer)
They put a roguelike element in my Elden Ring as well as a better sprint and ledge grab. I need to play the dlc still but I heard they didn't even add any new weapons with it.
