Seraph is a good but inconsistent grinder, and boring at that. Very limited choice of skills that all funnel into the same 3 ones, and the "big hitters" with slow speed are dogshit poor damage and have hilariously bad AoE.

You do your F/RMB/space or whatever prebuff, something i'm even questioning if it's worth doing as you could just do 1 more RMB combo instead, and you hold RMB and maybe press space. Deviate from this with shift+RMB or, god forbid, shift+E and you are simply griefing yourself. You will do your RMB flow combo and you will be happy.

Once you transform things get better... not! As you're better off just doing your RMB combo, albeit things get flashier and you have less AoE restrains, it's objectively more fun. It's weird how the class was presented as having two very distinct modes, going as far as to say one for pvp and one for pve, when that is clearly not the case. Light mode AoEs aren't even that bad and work perfectly in most spots, combined with the better mobility it provides the "feel good" aspect that makes you want to keep on playing the class.

She needs:
-double damage on her shift+ABC skills OR double the animation speed AND more AoE
-more skills in general (i don't give a shit about rabams i am not pressing shift+Z)
-a little more polish that i guess is coming
-and, elephant in the room, they need to adress the BSR shit

The problem isn't even DR itself, it's that some classes get higher %DR increases during their super armors than other classes.
Striker and Mystics, then Zerkers get the most of this.
Striker is especially ridiculous with this, as it lets him get more DR than other classes during super armor while also having evasion and high damage on his skills. He basically gets to do every stat "build" at once. This is why so many of the Arsha hit-and-run pvpers are Strikers.

There's still the rare griefer in normal servers but they mostly just try to fuck over afk fishers and horse trainers that are on a character above level 49 AND outside of a safe zone so just don't do that.

It's not 'rare' at all. Everytime I decide to play the game outside of Season there is always somebody who decides they don't like me minding my own business. They don't even care when they go red from it because a) it's so easy to regain lost karma, b) nobody cares enough to hunt them down, and c) they use spare gear. PVP isn't dead until PA removes it.

The last OW pvp experience I had was someone knocking me off my horse(this is often a harmless prank in this game) and running off a week ago and before that, it was a random red player fucking with my friend about 2 months ago at Honglim.
It basically doesn't exist aside from the very rare shithead that thinks he's RPing a """villain""" by using his geared main to kill a bunch of starter gear tuvala alts at a world boss.
You have to remember as well that you lose nothing in this game when you die to a pvper. You just respawn nearby and go back to what you were doing. 90% of the time actual negative karma Reds will run off, afraid you'll call friends or swap to your pvp stuff or geared main and they might break crystals on death. Even if they do linger around you can just server swap.

I'm not making up anything. Around the time the double rewards for potion pieces were up I was doing Wolf Settlement and there was someone who just oneshot me. I couldn't even harm them when they were standing still and taking the daily quest. I had to leave because there were no monsters left standing with this player around.
When I was in Polly's Forest clearing up everything someone followed me around before deciding to attack. I had to walk back everytime it happened until they finally left.

I initially typed a very angry response before my wall of text calmed me. People like you have been coming in since 2016. Play the game appropriately, anon. You're the griefer as other anon pointed out.

PvP was the only reason to grind your ass off in this game. Other than life skill leaderboard e-peen. Some of the funnest moments were the organic OW PvP. When my guild still played we always showed up to defend our guildies and sometimes big ass GvG fights would ensue.

One of the funniest ones was around the time during the Epheria Boat crafting days. I logged on to a murder scene in the chat logs from all the deaths and found out we were fighting over trees. Literal fucking trees. Allies were called in and we ended up having an all out 2v2 GvG.

OW will always be superior to sanitized, balanced content. Structured and balanced is boring. The first class 'balance' that we launched with was the best. It was setup with a rock, paper, scissors approach. Rather than the every class should be equal bs we have now. You had greater skill expression/ceiling and could take on opponents that out geared you by 100GS. If you were competent and understood the classes.

I no lifed this from Beta-2021 and gave up completely with the guild dec removal/gear creep. Your gear not losing worth and being able to come back literal years later was really nice. Gear treadmills are ass and before anyone says that's what MMOs are about. BDO at it's start was supposed to be a breath of fresh air and not follow the usual conventions that other WoW clones do.

Usually when a guildie or fren needs to finish a seasonal asap, I take them to gyfin under for 10 minutes till they hit 50-55, and then I take them to my money spot. DSR, Orzekea, Coral Nagas or Orbita, doesn't really matter, the XP there is more than decent. If they don't forget a strong XP buff they reach lvl 60 and maybe hit 61 in an hour. They get their XP, I get 3b+ in trashloot, and they would do the same for me since it's a deal where everybody wins.

They did the same "pre-release" thing with the scuba diving leotard. It's always a gamble with older outfits. It took them, like, I don't know how years until Mystic got Ram Witch Horn, for example, and that's just one example I know for sure. I have so many unopened costume boxes from all their giveaways, too.

36k is decent for a first hour. Her problem is consistency in grinding, in my hours there are time i'm overclearing 2 packs but i find it hard to maintain. It doesn't help that she's got no aoe outside of angel/demon form and has to wait several seconds for the mobs to group up.

I think when the muscle memory is going to click, and she's received some changes, she could pull 45k easy with 1-2 tides.

They announced Crimson Desert, BDO for console, and DokeV etc all at the same time; that was about six or so years ago.
During those six or so years BDO got put on life support or their A-team got pulled. PA has only increased in head count but we've never seen any of that translate in increased quantity or quality of content to BDO. This is what someone with endgame gear gets in an hour of grinding Orbita castle at the AP cap, with agris and agris coin. You will need 3 thousand hours like this one to hit the pity. This can't even be considered a long-term goal at this point, it's straight up gambling for the 0.2% chance of winning and the only target audience for this are the top tier whales. This is exactly the reason they added a timegate, they want to keep them on a tight leash and having them come back every week for the taps because a whale that logs in once a week is conditioned to view this activity as a hobby, making them more prone to spend even more. The timegate is a non-issue for the rest of the players, most people don't grind that much per week to secure that 1 tap, and they obviously have way better things to go after.

I heard taming horses is good now so i spent 4 hours looking for decent ones and capturing them, it's not worth it. I made maybe 3 bil. Every server i tried only had the shitty ones with the occasional missing spawn, meaning somebody else already captured it. This was very early in the morning mind you, there shouldn't have been anyone around and yet i saw several people doing what i was doing. You can't really kill the shitty ones and wait for them to respawn, and lock down a rotation on several servers, the respawn times are too high and it takes just a few minutes to check a rotation and switch server.

Maybe it's viable when there's not that many people doing it, and by many i mean <10 cuz there's not that many spawns, and the rates for special horses looked around 5% from what i gathered.

Most notable horses i caught sold for 1.1b and 450m. Overall i recommend skipping this meme activity.

Then I got a TET replacement for my TRI FG and swapped it over to Edana armor and tapped it to TRI with some of the weekly stones. With PA putting more necessary items behind Dark rift bosses I think now would be a great time to give them a bit of an update in terms of difficulty and variety.
I understand their reasoning reducing from twelve to six a few years ago, but I think it would be nice if we didn't have exactly the same six each week. There are plenty of now-unused bosses, and from these and the currently used ones six could randomly be selected each week.
Another issue I have is the difficulty is way too low, V can easily be done with just PEN Tuvala gear basically with eyes closed. Sure, you can make an argument that it needs to be doable with starter gear so that people aren't locked out of saving up the weekly items, but I would want at least a bit of challenge, and perhaps there could be a bit of a reward for completing them on the harder difficulties, even if it's just more crons or silver or something?

What are some good semi-afk activities for someone who can spend a lot more time at their computer and not just afk fishing. I was thinking of processing and cooking, but I'll eventually run out of materials after a few weeks of just doing those.

Processing, Alchemy and Cooking, though I only cook food for my workers. All of these rely on having a good worker empire, so make sure you have that set up. And also make sure you have some farms growing in the background as well, the quantity of byproducts I get from farming now is huge, and is rapidly getting me more CP.
Processing gets you materials for workers to make trade crates and/or materials for polishing Alchemy stones, though that won't be a bottleneck anymore in a few weeks. Alchemy is all about making elixirs to make Harmony Draughts.

If you have VP running 24/7 pick either cooking or alchemy and go all in. Both can earn you decent money, just pick whichever gathering you prefer doing, meat or sap, because the 3b/h recipes require active gathering of out of stock raw materials at 1.5b/h gathering spots that no one does to sell them, for obvious reasons. Why the VP? Because you will find out soon enough getting rid of 500k Balenos/Valencia meals, plus 250 specials, won't be fast.
Processing has some okayish profit, but most of the times it competes with afk fishing, and since processing is semi-afk while fishing is full afk, you can see why people stopped doing it entirely and it's so rare to find huge amounts of processed mats, like plywood, ingots and flour especially. Trade crates are a meme and if you start now, you may start seeing some profit in 1-2 years, so ye, best for you if you stay away from it and just use your contr. points for farm plots or just grabbing extra nodes for profit.

Each barter refresh may give you close to 600m if you have every tier 4 on stock, so that means 2 refreshes per day, 3 with VP, 4 if you leave 1 refresh from a previous day. Each refresh takes 50 minutes give or take, depending on how well you know the routes, which boat you have, etc. But then you will have to restock your tier 2->4 which will give you 0 silver per refresh. Not to mention the dilemma of whether will you make your own boat that can take a month of dailies and weeklies, or buy a boat from the market with a +10 blue part for 60b to speed up the process.

I usually gather enough scorpion/snake/lion meat to have enough for 500k valencia meal crafts. While I gather these big amounts of meat, I slowly buy teff flour and dough, just so I don't crash the market and also avoid doing the processing myself. Similarly with the figs and dates, but I don't cook these most of the times. Then I wait for one of these life mastery events so I can cook them all at 3k mastery, and I start selling them a month after the event ends. I don't cook regularly, so I have to compensate with preparation and minmaxing. It works for me and I understand it's not a solid plan for someone who wants to cook regularly.

It will take you a year or 2 to push trading level to an acceptable amount before you start having actual noticeable profit from the crates. Sure, you can make some small profit from crates, but it will take a while to ramp up. Getting the lvl 40 artisan goblins will take you 3-4 months and then you will have to roll their skills every few days till you get the +3.
It used to be worth getting into it some years ago, but now every other money making method has been inflated and trading has been on ice for the last 2 years. The only reason I keep doing it is due to sunken cost fallacy.

Sadly, the best use trading has now is to give you +0.5% fishing profit per level.
If you afk fish every night or especially all day every day, boosting your trading level can give you just as much of a profit increase as getting more Mastery, and it's mostly free with no active grind.

If you process a million timber, you will end up with around 130k plywood. You can sell that in a day if you get lucky with the market's demand. As I said above, processing is barely worth doing when fishing is that buffed in comparison. But if you want to do trading for whatever reason, doing the processing yourself is a chore you have to do, otherwise you will be losing money trying to make profitable crates by buying the processed mats from the market.

Because unless you have raised your trading lvl to M11 or higher, you will be losing silver with every crate you make. Because with the same contribution point investment you can get 2 more workers to gather 2 random items on decent nodes and outperform the profit you could potentially be making from a crate workshop. Because if you wait for a demand spike in the market, you can dump the whole plywood stack you have been saving and make more profit than the crate. Trade crates is a long term investment for minimal profit.
You can try it yourself, make 5k plywood of the timbers your workers gather for you, connect Valencia to Bukpo, and have 2-3 workshops in Valencia to start making crates. The money difference between selling the plywood and selling the crates will be close to 1 night of afk fishing.

If you have millions of timber, you could either process them and sell them as plywood, or straight up sell them as timber, it won't really matter. They've been giving us 15 day VPs lately, when you pop one for when you need it, start selling the wood as well. I highly doubt you have millions of plywood, because that would mean you had to process tens of millions of timber, and that's a chore that would take you 200 hours. Doing that for 200 hours with no plan on sight is something hard to believe.

Whether you process them to make crates or to sell them, it's up to you. But at the end of the day, it's a semi-afk process to make them and a fully afk process to make them into crates or sell them on CM, if you stop your active gameplay to pander to the afk gameplay, then it stops being afk and you are wasting your time.

You get enough workshops to steadily consume your plywood/ingot/crop intake. That depends on whether you buy the mats from the market, how regularly you buy, etc. I usually run 2 timber for money and 1 for junk crates, 2 ingot for money and 1-2 for junk crates, and 1 mushroom workshop that makes fortune teller junk crates that I buy straight from the vendor. When I'm running low on mats I either buy mats if the price is worthwhile or just sell the workshop.

A good start would be to get 1 workshop of each type and start training your goblin workers on them, making only junk crates. Either buy or move from your cities 100k of cheap ore/timber/crop/mushroom and send them to Valencia. Also make sure you can afford connecting Valencia to Bukpo, because now we have 5 trade wagons instead of 1, and transporting them with the wagon system will be something you will be doing a couple times per week, once your workers reach lvl 30+ and get their +3 production skills.

One thing to note on making crates with processed materials: When the alchemy stone rework finally arrives, far more people will be interested in getting them but likely very few will want to process the polishing materials from the base ingredient. I expect there will be a spike in the market price of Ingots/Pure Crystals, Plywood/Sturdy Plywood, and High-quality/Special Crops. Just something to consider

I try to look at the end goal rather than the moment-to-moment part of grinding. After a while i tune out and time just passes, maybe some ASMR in the background to relax to. Grinding with the primary objective of earning as much silver as possible in order to upgrade gear as quickly as possible is, in my opinion, the worst goal for grinding (I'm not saying you are doing this, of course).
There are a few things that I find makes grinding more enjoyable: trying a new class as you have already said; trying out grind spots that I haven't been to before, especially spots that have a higher gearscore requirement than what I have; setting a goal of rare items e.g. La Orzeca outfit; finally just not worrying about where to grind of if I'm being efficient. Grinding 1h at a spot I enjoy e.g. Jade or Crypt will always net me more money than thinking about how I can get triple the silver/h at Nymphamare but not going there because I don't want to do serious grinding (though to be honest I'm starting to like it a lot)

You can't realistically catch up completely unless they stop playing or at least enhancing, but you will naturally close the gap as you both continue to play; the rate at which you increase your gearscore is massively higher than that of an endgame player.

Kinda lost interest playing a while back around when Depths came out and came back recently for the DLC. Saw the Raider earlier posting about 5-6x Initial Standard stacking.
First game I get a Starscourge and it's doing 2500 damage each R1. Effortlessly blew through every red boss on the map and in rotted woods with nearly 400k spare runes.
