Most of my Teagan runs I am sitting at floor 20 with 600 tapes, it's a bit insane.

Bored on the road, and had a sudden thought strike me that I wanted to share with the tooners.So, you know what sucks? Research serves no purpose at all once you’ve actually gotten 100% of it. Y’know what else sucks? Having someone die midway in a run, and having them wait in spectator for 10+ floors in the most extreme of cases.So what if we got the ability to revive tooners who beefed it in a run, at the cost of a certain amount of their research gathered in that run? Making capsules worth more than just their ichor, while also making an interesting risk/reward balance for certain Toons due to their Twisted spawns - and thus, their research - being harder to acquire.Now, how would we address the fact that certain Toons (Scraps, Blot, Gigi) get punished for this despite being garbage, while others (Yatta, Looey) essentially get even stronger than they already are? How do we account for Holiday toons in all of this?Simple! Qwel clearly hasn’t thought through Toon balance before, and neither am I!

In pub runs, were most people tend to pop themselves in floor 3, most either just leave or rage quit.Still, research capsules should have more use then picking up scraps of ichor currency. Capsules used to revive players is an interesting idea, but the cost of it is a bit lopsided. Once a player starts getting 100% research of the toon they want, they kinda just stop collecting capsules outright. But newer players will want that research. Essentially, using their own research to do a revive is kinda punishing the new player that's learning how to play the game, for being bad at the game. While that could work for some risk/reward, I think it would just make newer players become more selfish , considering how everyone in those pub servers act. Although, it could be interesting if collected capsules during a run can be used to revive fallen toons. And with common/uncommon twisted being a lot easier to revive than rare and mains because of spawn rate, that could make for an alright balance of who to choose during the selection screen. Do you pick a main and risk not getting any spawns of the twisted mains you use and this technically have one life? Or do you pick a common that can come back on a few floors since they spawn so much?
