If you previously downloaded from the /v/ mirrors then you have the Rain client (the first link was okay, this is only a problem if you have "Rain patch installed" in the zip name). The Rain client has slightly different quests, meaning you can't progress into G rank with that client. If you're having a hard time killing some monsters, MH hunter has tons of items and tools that can make your hunts a lot easier. To name a few: max potions, demondrug, amorskin, traps, dash juice. Frontier lets you buy most of the mats to make these items, so take advantage of that.Also, always keep you're armor upgraded and check the stats. Are you getting one shot by fireballs? Maybe you shouldn't wear a set with -50 fire res.
I played on rain server recently up to early z rank, I don't feel like doing it over again on another server so soon but I'm eager to see anons reaction to the game.
