How do I make beta sin really come online? I've been using The Paper card (rune) set and a mix of archer skeleton and size runes on swappable weapons. Damage is okay at the moment but I'm struggling to surpass 4k per double attack venom knife throw, though I've hit as high as 6k on specific mobs with enchant poison. I'm at about 300 cards.

Turns out ccRO isn't for me after all, 11 seasons later in. Server's great and works perfectly for /rog/'s usual new-server-every-3mo behavior...but what I really wanted to do was play and experiment with any of the costumes on ccRO. Spent 3 seasons trying to gain 400+ cards to fail every time at the end, because my ability to "earn" a costume is directly linked to grouping with a bunch of insular people I can't fucking stand interacting with to get the handful of unsoloable cards that push me above 400.And no, I'm not just talking about /rog/. Every single group that participates on ccRO is ultra-exclusive, and there's no room for the loners and friendless.

I would enjoy cc-ro if the "costumes" were just implemented as base changes to all jobs.Yeah I get it, "Goal of the grind" or whatever but I'm too used to customized RO servers. Grinding 430 cards with such mild custom changes just to then get to play as a truly customized and changed job is too boring for me.Just wanted to share that.

I disliked a lot of the changes they started pushing in, especially when it went at odds with the intended design. For instance, it's supposed to be a difficult, slow paced 1x server...unless you were in a party abusing all the mechanics of the server with motd, taps, merchant-Mr Kim (yes they literally gave merchant the ability to Kim instead of making the class actually fun to play), and more, then you were functionally playing a 10x or higher server while all the plebs suffered slaving away at 1x. Also I can't be assed playing on a server that refuses to add resets. I do respect the server owners, they put a TON of effort into the game itself, they do more to fix issues like poslag and hit delay, they go into the spritework of each individual monster to clean up misalignments, really they have a lot of love for the game. But there are some core design philosophies I don't like, and ultimately the server has been plodding along for years, it's been sub 10 playercount every time I've checked and might even just be in maintenance mode right now. I respect them, if people are really hankering for a long grind server that they plan to be on for months, I'd even recommend it...if the changes work out. But I can't see myself picking them back up. I wish them the best though.

I can sum up the experience with the 00s anon guilds as being pretty much like what we see today but with more meme spouting, and way way way more characters being named after anime characters. And more anons playing with male sprites. And very little drama.WoE was also always a goal back then, but we'd always be stuck as the underdogs because the guilds rarely got big + complete refusal to invite randoms. And to be honest, we weren't all that good at it either (but it was okay because everyone else was pretty shit too). In general anons are way more tenacious about winning though and if that fails focus would shift to just messing with other guilds for lulz.Generally these guilds would die off pretty quickly (and usually formed quickly as well through someone making a single spontaneous thread).Outside the 1-2 hours of WoE, anons were pretty chill and easy going. Rarely any try hards. And something like Pool today, would have been unimaginable. Especially how it's been the same, continuous group for months. (Only once did I experience an exception to this, where we dominated WoE for a couple months one summer and actually built alliances and crap)Guild names would sometimes be named after memes but more often anime (mostly Rozen Maiden, naturally paired with Suiseiseki emblems, or the other dolls).Anime in general was the thing that bound anons playing ro together really. That and shitty computers. If those two weren't relevant to you, you were likely playing WoW.

Some areas where you need to farm PVE content have PVP enabled and I'm not talking about MVP maps.Kh_dun01 counts as a PVP map, if you die there or in any other PVP enabled zone then can't farm Alices for 2 hours.Also maps go in rotations there, you can't just farm wherever you want whenever you want. Every 30 minutes a new "guild dungeon" map is selected and you get to farm on it for 30 minutes.And every 15 minutes a new "Hunting map" is selected which becomes available for 30 minutes to farm, up to two of those are available at any given time. These hunting maps are not PVP enabled so you can farm there whenever they are available, but their loot is very bad and their main purpose is to grind exp quests for exp and zeny.The REAL PVP zones there are the "forest area" which are basically Runescape wilderness with a bit of randomness. You go in and select where you want to travel (There are locations you can travel to where you can buy ores, potions, hunt mobs for better exp, etc) then while traveling there you might run into another player and PVP is on.This forest area is actually really fun and my favorite part about the server regardless of PVP. The way they work is: each "map" you go through has random events like loot chests with items, NPCs selling random stuff, MVPs with increased drop rates, houses with very difficult mobs inside and other stuff. Not only that but each "map" has a random selection of mobs that get harder and harder the further you delve in, all with increased drop rates and eventually including mobs you can't find anywhere else.But then you die once for whatever reason (doesn't need to be another player) and the fun ends for two hours. Or you can buy a cash shop item that lets you go back in right away

>>2261963Forgot to mention odin 4. That exp was also kind of cracked. Honestly, in the harder areas the mobs should have leaned closer to a good pre re mob, at least the exp per hp ration.
