It effectively obsolete since ore mining sites were added in 0.2 since those unlock long before you can reasonably get and max an astegon. Is Palworld that much of a speedrun game that the early game hardly matters?Like sure, a lot of pals are outclassed by the bigger and badder pals, but i think a lot of the early pals can still carry their weight for the later parts of the game.

It seems the issue was that I cleared space before stopping the server, which caused it to overwrite every config file to its default state.All that has been restored but I don't want to risk a bunch of structure degrading and lost pals so I had to restore back to the same backup. If you can farm them already, every upgrade makes it easier and easier to farm and the cycle feeds into itself.After some point you have the resources to do whatever. I just got back from playing Aniimo 2nd Closed Beta. Some thoughts compared to Palworld:Pros over Palworld>There's a lot more aniimo interacting with the world. While palword has moments of this with fixed event spawns and aggro humans on pals, it's only fighting interactions. In Aniimo, they are gliding, playing, training on things, being lovey dovey, or feuding with different aniimo species>There is a main story, but side stories are a lot more detailed, both for people and the aniimo. Quite a few species have their own story lines, so it feels there's some merit to completing them. None appear to be collection/grinding based too.>It is not a survival game, so there's no temperature/food, or items dropped on death>The designs are quite nice, and the game runs decently well on my PC. I have an AMD Radeon RX 7900XT. While some pals have 'suspicious' designs that people go nuts over, none of the Aniimo raise those alarm bells. The sheep here float, not roll.Cons over Palworld>The ball catching mechanic (Aniipods) aiming and throwing feels very stiff compared to the quick throw option that palworld has. You have to commit to using the right trigger to enable aim mode and then you can click to toss. You don't exit out of the mode when thrown, however, so you have to right click to exit out. It doesn't seem like much, but it gets very sticky during combat with multiple monsters.>Only 4 party members>it is not a survival game. In fact, the story and tone of the game feels like an entirely G rated version of Palworld. Aniimo goes out of its way to mention that aniimo abuse is heavily frowned upon, there's adoption, and so far, there are no real 'bad guys' in the story. Quite sanitized.>There's an IV system, with only a one-time use item that boosts potential one time. Getting 'Perfect' Aniimo is a fool's errand, but the rating system will drive perfectionists absolutely insane.>Mosts fights are balanced with twining in mind rather than commanding. (cont)

Progress on the home/farm is timegated by resources and a lot of waiting, and they haven't made waiting fun>You can't pet the AniimoOverall, I still much prefer the sphere throwing style of Palworld and player involvement in battle. Fighting alongside pals effectively feels a lot better in forming battle bonds. However, Aniimo does do a lot more to make the world feel lived in.To me, I think Aniimo makes for a good sidegrade to Palworld, and I had my fun. It'll probably hit an audience that doesn't like Palworld's violent world.

Still, they did give everyone swimming animations for the fishing update, so it's not impossible.

It's the hands of architecture. I have everything split between three bases (or will, shortly).
