You can play majong in FFO and you can play tales of tribute in ESO. We already have pazaak in kotor and sabacc in outlaws, the games are there with all the rules ready to go. It's one of the things I've wanted for so many years, players would love it.

There's also a dejarik emote, a dejarik board deco, and you play dejarik in the story a couple times, but that's another game you can't actually play.

The smuggler can even brag about being good at sabacc!

If you think about it, the moves are purely cosmetic in singleplayer and the combat in the old JK game was a rather alpha version of a good idea, but nothing more. I'd say it's possible as a final way to squeeze money out of people. They could release everything in an offline client with access to all outfits and other cosmetics. It will likely not happen because a) this game is still financed by whales and b) studios are petty.

Best bet is to wait for some offline client to pop up which is always the case with these games. City of Heroes and Marvel Heroes both MMOs that went offline but were brought back by fans.

I made my own private server once in WoW by following a tutorial on youtube lol.

I was gm in it and could float around and stuff.

it lost 1 million subs in the first year and went f2p the next and i don't even believe their reported numbers. the game was a total failure and it was obvious during the beta and in the beta forums at that time. they already planned on going f2p before launch because the surveys that they asked you to fill out after playing hinted at that fact.

pvp was fun for some time but also a total slide show that you could only play on low playstation 2 graphics and now nobody cares anymore because they were also incapable of balancing the classes and match making. mmos are serious business and bioshit can't even make good single player games.

I started playing in early 2014 when I got my first laptop, but if the original beta launch was anything like how it was during Galactic Starfighter/Galactic Strongholds, I would've completely loved it. I didn't start hating swtor until kotfe.

I've come across a really weird lost media question. I remember there being a forum post that had every swtor forum profile avatar uploaded with a filename saying who or what they are, but it's been deleted. I was able to double check it with the Wayback Machine, and I was able to see the names for some of them, but there's other pages I'll never see. How would I go about finding the original names for each avatar?

pvp popup was at any time of the day and would happen within few seconds - saying that since majority did not like pvp.

How do I make my characters look more "NPC". I don't want them to look too basic, but I want my Guardian to look like he's about to say "Using a lightsaber is just as much science as art.".

It's both stupid and still the best thing in years. It has some interesting bits but the way it sounds to me is that it will be up to you whether or not everyone has their Force potential unlocked and that's gotta happen at the very end of the game's story because the implications are too great.
But I am pretty much ready for it to end because it hasn't been interesting in years and I get physical pain pushing myself through the recent story a 2nd time right now.

My progenitor Jedi is "just" a Jedi Master. My "main" Guardian and Sage are the Hero of Tython and Barsen'thor respectively, while that Sentinel (and every other Jedi toon I have) is/are just Jedi that are strong in the Force. If you go to your Legacy menu, there's actually a Family Tree that you can make and edit, that includes things like marriage, siblings, and offspring. Picrel from Google because I'm at work.

If we're just talking about backstories, my Jedi Knight formed their own little Avengers squad, using their influence to recruit other Jedi, ex-soldiers, underworld Smugglers and Bounty Hunters, and open-minded Sith and Mandalorians (all of my other characters) to do good in the galaxy. Then Knights of the Fallen Empire came out and ruined it for me by making EVERYONE have what I had. I didn't feel original anymore, so the group split up.

It's impossible trying to find a D-200 Military Enforcer on Satele Shan. I should've moved to Star Forge when I had the chance

Yeah I agree. I think part of what it is, is the scale of the environments vs the character. Everything feels huge. Ceilings are very high, there is a lot of verticality in design, buildings are huge etc. Obviously a lot of this design is to accommodate lots of players but to me it reminds me of playing with action figures as a child because of the scale and I find it comfy
