Good, we have a steam mod collection made for your convenience: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3442440964
>>2241291So uh, any intent to ever host any actually GOOD games?
>>2241305I scanned the list and I see at least 19 good games.
Aim for the Ace but with a squad of Plum clones
>>2241319>thinking any of the games in that list are goodI guess the answer was nooooooooooooo. Thaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaanks.
>>2241342If you can't appreciate Galaxy Trucker I think you're the problem.
>>2241305why not do it yourself?
Somebody host the video boards
did they hit the Decko mod or is it unlisted?
>>2242124Designer deleted it because he's afraid of people printing the game for themselves (the game will never hit retail, his words).Check the steam collection for my unlisted backup with the extra cards.
>>2242129I just thought we had another workshop ban wave since the TTS discord had to clean another publisher's game off the map
Wow the new milestones are fucking broken. I love it. Lets play.Lobby: /v/oard gamesPass: rage
>Firefighter is a self-immolating pakiVery cool!
>>2242131Decko was removed before the fundraiser was even over.I'm amazed they thought to upload it but couldn't expect that people would just take the files.
>>2242860I blame Redditors.
>>2242865>this platform full of scanned pirated assets... can be used for pnp piracy?also lol, at most a dozen people will print off their copy. like mediocre game devs blaming piracy when their indie knockoff doesn't sell a billion copies.
>>2242922It is a legitimate concern and I understand the designer wanting to put shittier assets in what is essentially a advertising demo but it's funny to me that they didn't realize it was a concern when they put it up in the first place.
>>2242942It would make a little more sense if he wasn't going to provide people with files for user-made translation which they'll need to fucking print once done; I guess by that point the kickstarter is done and he got his money already so he doesn't care, considering he claimed this is a one time thing and Decko won't reach retailers. Is the game any good btw?
>>2242944i think it's quite fun, but it's also designed with too many catch-up mechanics for me to ever take it seriously.
>>2242675>new milestonesqrd?
>>2244294Milestones that are new.
>>2244299Never mind, I'll just google it. Prick.
>>2244301You gotta admit it was quick.
>>2242675>>2244299>>2244304Look at that, there are no new official milestones like I expected.Just some retard making shit up, I'm shocked.
>>2244305Do you realize the Ketchup Expansion Milestones are called "New Milestones", right? That's obviously what the OP is referring to, no matter how old the expansion is. You can't be this autistic.
>>2244307>>2244305Ye that's what I meant. Would be down to play again tomorrow if anons are up.
>>2244307Yes I'm autistic because I thought that the faggot who just discovered "the new milestones" was referring to a new set of milestones instead of the milestones that were included in a seven year old expansion to arguably one of the most popular board games in general in this thread.I would tell you to sell your copies of FCM (along with retard OP) but I'm sure you're too broke to afford one (let alone the expansion) so just do us all a favor and uninstall TTS before your combined retardation spreads to innocent board game enthusiasts.
>>2244403>innocentNo risk of that. It's a crime to not like Food Chain Magnate.
>>2244403>Yes I'm autisticCould have just ended with that instead of pathetically seething at nothing.
>>2244427>pathetically seething at nothingI accept your concession.
>>2244432>Too autistic to figure out context>Malding immediately at a tongue in cheek reply>Doubling down and going nuclear instead of accepting he misinterpreted a person using the actual module name >>2244335 No wonder you have to come here and shitpost, nobody would ever want to play any games with you. You can have the last reply now, I know it matters a lot to you.
>I know it matters a lot to you.Oh the ironing.
Does anyone keep a backup of the discord uploads? I had to format my computer and lost the files I grabbed. Only thing I have left is Final Girl 3.8.1.
>>2244790I'm interested, tooI wanna try Vantage out and see if it's worth buying
>>2244934>Vantage is an open-world, co-operative, non-campaign adventure game >Designer: Jamey Stegmaier
>>2245226not really a boardgame person, does he have a reputation or something? i played a lot of wingspan with my sister
>>2245226Oh, but it gets better. Despite being cooperative, you're basically playing solitaire. Only you can see your Vantage and the location card you draw, you can describe it but only you get to pick a choice on the card and suffer the consequences, oh but if one of the players fully loses one of their resources (stamina, time, and something they used a heart for) that ends the "day" and forces you to end the game and reset and draw a new objective for the day. Or something like that, i honestly tuned out of the rules explanation halfway through because holy shit it's kinda boring for an exploration game. Interesting concept to have a mapless map split into hundreds of cards, but not interesting enough to carry the whole dicechucker bookreader of a game. >>2245229A reputation is probably the best word. He made Viticulture, a game that took three expansions that actually just change the game altogether to fix; Scythe, a kickstarter funded, designed with an expansion in mind, unbalanced mess of a eurogame masquerading as a diet 4x war game; and Expeditions, which is just Scythe without pretending to be a 4x. There's another game on this list but I haven't played it so i can't comment on it. Oh and he also made a fan faction for Terra Mystica which got an official publication so now his name is on that too.
>>2245304what's a eurogame?
>>2245229Him and his Publishing company basically only release overproduced, imbalanced games that rely solely on theme and aesthetics rather than an actual fun experience. His philosophy is literally "profit is the first, second and third most important thing in game design".Also it's pretty funny that if you look at his profile picture in forums from the thumbnail, it looks like he has the "just fuck my shit up" haircut.
>>2245329In boardgames, for a long time there were two main "schools" of design: the european design which featured lss focus on style and more focus on mechanics (El Grande for example), and the american design which focused more on the style and the mechanics were forced to fit the style (see also Twilight Imperium). From there came the two terms: Eurogame describes a game where you need to think a lot to win, where maximizing efficiency of each of your turns is expected, and where interaction between opponents is usually blocking certain spaces or bidding exactly one coin more on the auction than the other guy; and Ameritrash describes the flavor first, rules whatever, beer and pretzels kind of game where you just draw cards, roll dice and see what happens. While the nomenclature might suggest that ameritrash games are worse, one gamer's trash is another gamer's treasure, and both styles can be fun, and modern games mix the two to the point of these terms almost being obsolete, but there's no better ones and i don't think we'll get any until more people read "Characteristics of Games".tl;dr: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nyYexTcyY2A
>>2245350that's actually pretty interesting, thanks
>>2241814what is a video board?
