whether it's worth coming back or not is entirely up to you, the gameplay is both somewhat familiar and rather different. player power is up a lot but so are annoying progression systems (looking at you erg).
puppets are getting an arcana soon (it's like a prestige class and you can only have one at a time) that changes how they play a fair bit but does make them a lot more powerful.
I would say overall it's still a good game to chill in, it's my personal retirement mmo of choice
