Marvel Heroes Omega, a game that shut down in 2017 has come back by fans. There's 2 private servers. The main one considered by many is Project Tahiti. While the other one is Council of Ancients. Both are good. But CoA is preferred since you don't have to wait an hour to get inside. If anyone doesn't know what this game is, it's Marvel capeshit but as an MMO Diablo clone. If you're into that sorta stuff you'll like it. You have to download the main game. If you have it on Steam you make it a lot easier. If not, I linked the archive download below. But that's what you need to download first. And then you download the server files to login which I also linked.Marvel Heroes 1.52.0.1700 (Omega 2.16a): https://archive.org/details/marvel-heroes-omega-2-16a-steamProject Tahiti: https://mhtahiti.com/Council of Ancients: https://mho.councilofancients.com/
So...I'm a bit of a dummy, and practically never pirate (modern) pc games anymore. Will downloading and running a pirated steam game somehow connect to my actual steam account and put me at risk? how does this work?
>>2309910No, it won't. The account linked to your Steam account no longer works.. The game is out of service.
>>2309910>>2310385Even if it does need to link your actual Steam account it'll ask you. And it doesn't for this one. You have to sign up individually for each server separately to login.
Shameless self bump. None of you guys wanna play?!
>>2309910If it makes you feel any better PCGamer wrote an article about it.
>>2309286HELLO????
I'm playing, I have summoner dr doom at 60. Idk how to farm gear though
>>2309286City of heroes fan servers have died pretty quickly. How long will this one last?
>>2318025>Idk how to farm gear thoughwait, really??? you're saving up your uniques right? save them if you run into any because you can level them up with a crafter once you're at max level.. anyways..do the terminals and challenges..if you do challenges, you get on an open map and random events happen and most of it gives tons of loot and XP so do those.. also do shield holo sim thats good too
>>2318315Excelsior is doing pretty good..
>>2309286Was this game made by one guy or something? Because these animations are just sad to look at.
>>2309286Is there even a point to run story mode? I went into midtown for 5 minutes and got a full inventory of yellow and orange items, and a bunch of other things. This is on CoA.
>>2321655this game was released in 2013 man it's an old game.>>2322000>Is there even a point to run story mode? I went into midtown for 5 minutes and got a full inventory of yellow and orange items, and a bunch of other things. This is on CoA.CoA gives you more XP and other stuff to speed everything up in general. It's like the casual server but nothing wrong with that
>>2309286After spending some time on CoA, I think I'll be sticking with that server. 50% cooldown reduction makes the game much enjoyable to play, even if it’s crazy on some characters. I never liked waiting for the abilities to recharge on live version, besides on many occasions your damage output is limited by the enemy attacks, on cosmic difficulty they hit super hard, so you can’t just stand there and spam. Also, the game was super grindy, I view CoA additions to the loot not as a bonus, but a necessity, as otherwise it’s just ridiculous. I don’t know why people prefer Tahiti in that regard, in city of heroes people largely view original rates as unwanted and nobody wants to deal with vanilla grind.
man, midtown madness is so stupidly good for leveling characters; just run around on green difficulty killing bosses, until your inventory is filled with boxes, go to SHIELD training room on yellow (cosmic) difficulty, pop your XP boosts (summer pot + vial) and start opening chestsgot like 5 characters to 60 today with this, playing on Tahiti, and now its just going to feel sluggish doing it the 'normal way' but people save Gs for this event during the week, and the server has boosted droprates so splinters drop in like bundles of 10x every 6 minutes
