Mint is a third party mod manager that's imo way better than the official mod.io integration.
The original fork forces a MODDED tag on your lobby name, so someone made a fork (notag) that removes that feature.
Some see that as a problem since you can use approved and even sandbox mods without any indication, but if you're just using verified clientside mods who cares?
I do like hosting with Von's rooms, though. It's verified but no problems with mint since clients don't need to download it too.

The singular thing I'd change about pitjaws is their seemingly massive health pool, grabby semi-mobile stationaries that can be hard to see and chunk you for 80% health should not be tanky too. Mint gave me infinitely faster load times and better fps. The on board mod integration for drg is a disgrace. The notag fork just lets you host better if you're only using client side cosmetic improvements. They're very similar, but also have a couple key differences:
Mortar rounds are much better against armored targets, specifically praets and guards. They also do better against very high hp low armor ones like stationaries. Mortar rounds also have (potentially) much better ammo economy against trash, assuming all your shots land.

However mortar rounds have very limited range and accuracy, do a lot of self/friendly fire damage, and are weak against mactera.

Carpet bomber has fantastic trash dps when it gets going, has no issues with range or accuracy (compared to MR) and is dead easy to use.

It does however struggle a lot against praets and guards.

I keep a separate dedicated build slot for both, and often find myself missing the other when I bring one of them to a mission.

Just played DRG Survivor for the first time and I am baffled. This game is everything Rogue Core wants to be. It succeeds in every way that RC fails. Upgrades lean lower tier but more frequent with rares feeling good to roll into and actual luck influence that can stack, single player, no braindead teams and people in line before you stealing all the good upgrades, genuine progression and fully realized original gameplay built on the DRG foundation. I am convinced that if Rogue Core was a top-down Alien Swarm style game like this with class-based solo loot options it would fire on all cylinders. I wish the team looked at this game more for inspiration.

It's a tradeoff. With OFM you can easily take T3A since 4 RoF is enough. Which sort of offsets having to take T1C.
Frag missiles can take either T1 but is basically forced into T3B.
You'll always be taking T2A btw since armor break doesn't work on AoE.

DRG is my dream game and I doubt anything will replace it, which makes me sad that it's reliably getting worse and probably in the last year or two of its life.

I consider myself a Hazard 5 enjoyer and maybe this is a scrub opinion but I do dislike that at times the game director just decides to screw you over with the enemy spawn. I know that there are different types of spawning and the "disruptor" classes can be real fucking annoying to deal with especially if the game keeps sending them over and over.

Love them too but there are just so many of them that being restricted to random events and roulettes can definitely suck the air out of you collecting them. Granted, they aren't really required to play but it boggles me that there's no "daily overclock deal/market" on the space right where you could just consume your empty matrix core and pay a decent amount to buy one OC that is currently on sale that day.
