This server is just boring to play on, no wonder it can't keep pop for more than one round in the US evenings. I keep joining hoping something fun will happen but instead I just do jobbie shit while the usual metacliques do borderline self-antag shit but no one wants to ahelp it because we don't want to lose anymore players. None of /vg/'s jobbie content is fun enough for anyone to just play it on their own and the server doesn't get enough pop for anyone who isn't metabuddies with the usual players to have fun. I'm going to check out other servers and if their troon shit is too unbearable or they aren't fun to play on either then I guess I'll just quit this game again. The problems with /vg/ are fixable but coders and admins don't want to do anything about it, they would rather just whine about doomers and look for reasons to ban the few remaining players.Dynamic threat levels should be cranked up so we get more than two antags at peak pop who don't do anything because they don't want to kill their metabuddies. These 3+ hour long rounds where nothing happens and people only call the shuttle when random events start to make the station inhospitable is likely a reason why we can't keep peak pop for more than one round a day, no one wants to play another round like that. Admins should start antag banning people who don't do shit as antag and freely giving it out to those who ask and actually do antag shit. People can whine about low pop murderbone and bombing but the truth is that those things are much more enjoyable than whatever the fuck the current state of /vg/station is, as long as the people doing it don't hold the round hostage. It should also be impossible to recall the shuttle once called past the 90 minute or 2 hour mark so we don't have faggots constantly delaying round end for their pointless bar RP sessions or whatever. Past that point most job content is exhausted and people start going AFK anyways. Also remove dogshit maps like jungle.

hello spessmen, ive noticed jungle is a bit rough around the edges so ive put a lot of thought into improving certain aspectshere are the key issues id like to address:>the command square is a giant monolith that cucks most of the starboard section for no good reason and should thus be split into smaller parts>the research fortress is an ideal spot for security>map doesnt loop around itself like snaxi, its just split into two z levels>the docks next to escape should be moved to arrivals because they take up too much space in a good spot>the trees, bushes, etc should be pre-mapped and not generated automatically because it would look nicer and the trees can block windows and ladders which is annoying>vaults are embarrassingly few and also bad>the tunnels are a dimly lit maze that only take up a small part of the entire Z level they inhabit (meaning theres nothing to discover through digging) and they're also hard to navigate even with the map open on my browser

Too lazy to sign into the forums and post this in the feedback thread but after actually playing on NTEV Odyssey a bit, I have to say the map is unexpectedly fun, but it's still kinda lacking, especially on the outpost/home planet.Assuming we're actually expected to build missing departments if we want to play them, the outpost should really have space to build that stuff along with tools and maybe some materials to do so. But I think it would be even better if some of those missing workstations were just included roundstart, it would give some incentive to actually return to base. At the very least, having xenoarch available would mean the crew would be able to experiment with the alien artifacts they find on other planets without risk of damaging the ship, especially since a full xenoarch setup is way too big to ever fit on the ship.Additionally having premade buildings to build botany and xenobio in would be nice as those who don't board the ship will have something to do while stranded at the outpost and the ship will get the benefits of those departments if they ever return.Finally there should buttons close/control the external airlocks from the bridge of the ship, or the airlocks should just automatically close when the ship takes off, too often does half the ship get ZAS'd and a bunch of items lost due to miscommunication/retardation/laziness.

The other day Kromcuck decided to run some dogshit "event" in the middle of a round that was just "make a bunch of food items or I'll do something". He did that despite the fact that the station was on a skeleton crew (as per usual), while most people were preoccupied, when there wasn't even a chef to boot. No one even actually bothered to start making the food items, likely because other stuff was going on in the round, but actually doing so would've required someone to stop what they were doing and put aside 15-20 minutes to grow the ingredients and make all the food just so kromsaar doesn't send a deathsquaddie to kill everyone for ignoring a centcom order. There was a xeno infestation some time later in the round so fortunately he never got an excuse to push buttons before most of the crew was killed and the shuttle had to be called.You really have to wonder, what goes on in his head to make him think that this was any sort of "fun" admin intervention in a round. There was no chef so it's not like there was anyone who was expected to make food, and everyone else was up to more interesting or pressing things (like a shitcurity standoff) so someone essentially being forced to make a lot of food would be quite unfun comparatively. Either lil' krommy has been a neverplayer for so long he's forgotten what makes SS13 enjoyable, or he knew this could suck the fun out of the round and went ahead with it anyways because he's a spiteful faggot. Either way, it's poor adminning.

Every other returning admin had to submit another application, not too long ago Kernikov did such thing for example, and this fact was one of the reasons why Yvvel left. The fact that krommy didn't have to go through the same process every other admins has to go through should call his position into question and should be enough to disqualify him from being an admin on its own. No permabanned player would be allowed to get their ban lifted without submitting a proper appeal, and if one did there would be a massive stink about it. Sure, they aren't perfect players, but Lil Krommy almost acts like they ruin every round they're in.I suspect this is because Kromkar and those with the same mentality are neverplayers and thus only interact with or hear about these supposed unrepentant extreme shitters during ban appeals/requests on the forums, and lack the theory of mind to realize that these people play a lot more than they do and such are just more likely to end up involved in some administrative affair. 95% of the time they are decent enough players. But our stunted autistic admins and their discord clique think that because they only play one round a month, that means everyone else also only plays one round a month, and so to them these players seem to cause a massive amount of issues, when in actuality they're only slightly worse than the average /vg/ player, yet bad enough to cross those lines ever once in a while.This problem just comes from the fact that the VGmins seem to be allergic to interacting with the game in any capacity beyond the trooncord, and the fact that they're low-functioning autistics who can't properly interact with people outside their digital special ed classroom discord server. In my years of playing this game I've never tested or asked any elder atmosian if scrubbing the CO2 from a burn chamber makes it burn hotter. I always assumed the CO2 shouldn't be scrubbed (at least in the case of a TEG) because by doing so, you're removing heat energy. Yet, by removing that gas you bring down the total heat capacity in the chamber, making it easier to keep heating up, so I can see why it might be scrubbed. I've seen knowledgeable engineering players do both across multiple codebases, and I don't think the difference between ZAS and LINDA should matter much for small burn chambers.So could someone who is intimately familiar with atmos gameplay answer this for me? Should I or should I not scrub CO2?

I really hate this narrative that Kromkar and his associates are pushing that anyone who wants to deadmin him is a shitter with a thousand notes and bans. I haven't been on the receiving end of much administrative action myself but still want Kromkar gone. He's always snarky in ahelps and has contempt for everyone who still plays the game, and is just generally unpleasant and unpersonable, which are not qualities that should be found in someone running a social roleplaying game. He also seems to have this mentality that he knows what is absolutely best for the server and anyone who disagrees with him or gets in his way is just another dirty dang ol' shitter who needs to be banned.On top of that there's the fact that he rarely plays or even logs on to admin himself anymore, which should make people doubt his judgement of people's characters and current understanding of the game since he isn't on enough to properly assess either of those. I think people would be more forgiving of Kromkar if he was more active, but as it stands it seems like he just boots up the game every once in a while to ban someone he doesn't like before scurrying back to the discord to get sucked off by his buttbuddies so he doesn't have to face the fact that he's unpopular among everyone who still plays the game and keeps making questionable decisions.

Remember when Kromkar permabanned someone for filling a Cryo machine with mutagen and he admitted in the ban reason this should only be a job ban but hes increasing the ban to a permanent ban from the server because the player has a history of "banned alts" and then he later came into the thread and clarified there werent actually any alts it was upgraded to a perma because he had a ban for using the n word on tg station and thats why he upgraded it to a perma.

has anyone else been having issues with their radio on odyssey? mine would randomly stop working (i did check to make sure it was on and turned it off and back on but that didnt fix it) but my station bounced one worked fine the entire time
I noticed someone set up a fission reactor on the Odyssey in this night's round as opposed to the conventional AME, which was pretty based, but the setup had issues due to the nature of the mapCryotheum seems like it should work for cooling reactor setups on the ship, so the TEG can make power on hot planets. The surface gas extractor could provide a steady stream of oxygen for constant cooling. The cryotheum resonator itself shouldn't be needed, just the small tank since cryotheum itself isn't consumed when it reacts with oxygen, and it might be possible to have the cooling setup contained in just a pipenet connected to the TEG without any heat exchange or open turf fuckery required. This could also make an SM setup possible on the ship.
It might be over for us secmainiacs... With Kromkar handling this new perma banrequest, we will lose another player for good.
