>>2346953Me when I feel up the cubes in the bag during Dragon attacks and pull only my opponent's.
>>2346817Galdor's Grip was left out too. Would I have had to play that on side table while waiting for a seat for it to count?
>>2347038I'm not gonna add a solo-only game.
>>2347074OK guy, join my lobby next time.
would anyone on here want to play monopoly or is that too normie of a boardgame for this site
>>2347522I mean, I guess I could if there was demand for it but Monopoly is really not a good game. I'd even Catan before it, what part of Monopoly do you like? There are several alternatives that do that part better I assure you.
>>2347522Why the fuck would I play Monopoly when Chinatown exists
>>2348031Chinatown doesn't have Roll & Move.
>>2348041Why the fuck would I play Monopoly when The Oracle of Delphi exists
>>2348041technically a deck of cards is no different to rolling a complicated set of dice, and in chinatown thats how you decide what lots each player getsand moving is simple, you have business in hand, you have open lot, you move the business into the lot.so chinatown is roll and move.

WHY DOES NOBODY WANT TO PLAY ROOT ANYMOREREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
>>2350459It's an old game unc, get with the times
>>2350459Ahoy was released in 2022
>>2350475Ahoy is pretty bad.

>>2350497Castles in Burgundy with 2.
>>2350547Our summer homes are complete.
>>2350694*The lobby is now closed.
>>2350459unironically it's a skill issue. and not even in a negative way to the players, just to the game. it takes knowing all the factions and all the common play patterns for the factions before you're able to have fun with the game, even though you can just do moves and most likely lose and feel powerless with no knowledge of what the other factions do. So the skill floor for having fun is way higher than the skill floor for playing, and while some are fine with that and even try extending a ladder down to help the ones on ground floor reach the fun floor, it can't help everyone, and more and more new players see Wehrle's other games where the two floors are closer to each other and play them instead, even if the entry floor is higher it's an easier step between entry and fun that matters..also Arcs Blighted Reach c/vm/paign when? John Company 2e host when? An Infamous Traffic host when?
>>2351601Host them.

This might not be the best place to ask, but do anyone here have the Terraria boardgame mod?It got purged from the workshop
>>2353257I think I may have subscribed to it knowing it'd happen. I'll check tonight.

>>2353475Ok, I suggest you watch this to get familiar with the controls: https://youtu.be/-MfuHyBoJGE?si=b43F8WjbMeNSsAz1&t=72Hopefully the host can post a how to play video of the game he intends to host so it makes starting more seamless. if that doesn't happen, I'd suggest watching this, just in case: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EZQyr5JkbBY
>>2353490That does seem to be our go-to game when we can't agree on what to play.
Can images be embedded in a notebook e.g. as context for rules?
>>2353590You mean for the ingame notebook tool? No, just formatted text. Isn't that what the rulebooks are for?
>>2353490i got the controls down but the clank! tutorial made me dizzy...
>>2353723It's really much easier than it looks, it's helpful to know that the mod is almost fully scripted and will do most of the heavy lifting for you.
>>2353590you can use the build in .pdf file support for rulebooks, because the notecards as they are in base tabletop sim suck so much ass it's not even funny.though some people did make a Better Notecard it still doesnt support image embeds. but they do funcion better than default notecards.
>>2353723The tutorial is way longer than it needs to be because it goes in depth, but the game is so simple it fits in a post>objective is to get the most VP by stealing a hexagonal Loot piece from the dungeon (you can only carry one by default) along with whatever else is not nailed down, and getting out of the dungeon before the clanking of your armor annoys the Dragon enough for her to kill you>play entire hand of cards every turn, though sometimes order might matter>cards give the symbols they have on the left side (and sometimes in their text box) into a temporary symbol wallet, and activate their text box effects, when played>boot symbols let you move your dude thru corridors, but some corridors are one way, some take more than one boot, and some have monsters that damage you if you go thruthem>sword symbols let you kill monsters, either on paths (meaning you dont take the damage) or in the market rows (where they give rewards)>blue number is Skill, used to buy any non-monster card from the market rows, either the random top row, or the always same bottom row.>at the end of turn, lose your symbols, put all played cards into discard, and draw from deck to your hand size (usually 5)>if you ever need to draw cards but the deck is empty, shuffle the discard into a new deck, then keep drawing cards>some cards, and rooms in the dungeon, give Gold; Shop rooms let you spend gold for items like a backpack for an extra Loot piece slot, a Key for map shortcuts, or a Crown for bonus points>last but not least, Clank is a "resource" tracked with cubes that you want to generate the least of, because whenever the Dragon attacks (and its often), all Clank is put into the Dragon's bag, and then some cubes are drawn and become Damage tracked on a health bar. Running out of health kills you, but if you got out of the deep part of the dungeon you still score your points. Getting oput of the dungeon gives a 20 point Mastery bonus.and you're ready to play Clank!
>>2353735phew looking forward to it then
>>2353816thanksive been trying to post a cat picture for the last hour
