>game is dying, nothing can save it, this is the endfeels pretty great to have identified this during the test server, being one of the "avoid planes entirely" gang and being right. feels even better to have recognized the game was going to shit when facilitys were added and dropped it early. i could tell airborne was going to flop as soon as i saw fighters were fac-locked; if nothing else the fighters should've occupied the spot scoutplanes are in now. people want to log in, get in a fighter, and shoot down an enemy plane; the game actively gets in the way of doing that.it's been pretty fun to watch the community all realize how fucked this game is; not often you can get front-row seats to a game dying week by week. the only real tragedy is how avoidable this all was. these stupid toronto leafniks have had several years to do the big polish & UX & QoL patch that foxhole desperately needs. the airborne war player surge-and-drop was incredible, mindblowing to watch it happen. over 12k PCU, highest the game's ever had, busiest i had ever seen a trenchline, and then a mere three days later they were *all* gone. the minute-to-minute and average-session gameplay is so miserable it utterly failed to hook anyone for a third login session. but, instead of making the game less of a chore, they just kept adding more new shit. classic mismanagement.
