I find it such a shame how poorly thought out most of toons universe's elements are, because while there it has the potential to possibly surpass dandy gameplay-wise, I doubt the game devs knows of it, or even think they might turn the game into anything other than a hype train rugpull.Take for example the toon's abilities, despite having less in quantity, the toons that have appeared in-game so far all but make up for it by playing into their own playstyles, (and were the devs a little smarter making the trinkets) could easily create builds that would further diversify the gameplay, yet this is another aspect I doubt they'll think about....I'm not into ryona myself or at least I don't think I am but koi's hurt sprites make me so horny whenever I look at them, which makes it so hard to focus on tanking hits for others.

But as the story goes on you see this is a real cognitive impairment they and their friends have to deal with, and it's not so cute anymore when they have a seizure in the middle of an important event, or like the picture I mentioned, act inappropriately in a way that is genuinely humiliating. Obviously it depends on the tone and level of sincerity you are going for but there's a lot to work with I feel and that's super interesting to me.I liked the discussion in a previous thread about Shrimpo being designed to hate and be a bully and what that might do to someone - it even inspired a character of mine. How he has to find ways to show he cares or constantly keep up with being rude to others and trying to maintain relationships despite the constant strain. Maybe i'm autistic and in the wrong for wanting to take cute cartoon characters and treat them realistically/ seriously for fun, but it has always bee a fascination of mine, especially when a horror setting is involved. You do have to be careful to not shred away all the whimsy, color, and appeal these characters have in the process of course.
