After I think 25 runs I finally have an SS Cafe (even if just barely) with Medium S. Naturally the skills low rolled significantly, but the SSR chains completed so I am content for now. She's a bit of a stamlet so I bought two heals to be safe, but the other options were just upgrading the Medium speed skills so whatever.I'll keep grinding but I'm very happy to at least have a fallback option now.I know there's a Kawakamichad in these threads, I think he's suffering even more than I am because at least Cafe doesn't have issues winning races. Third guts can be Air Groove, Admire Vega SR, even Mambo as just some examples, there's more guts cards you can use. Then you run a wit card like FineMo, borrow another wit card like Natie/CB etc, and you got a pretty strong deck with great race bonus. Now getting the high roll I would say is more inconsistent than getting the high roll from a standard wit/speed deck, and it's going to depend on your umas growths and the sparks you bring, which is important. But all I'm saying is it's achievable by people with low means and surprisingly effective when the stamina requirements aren't too restrictive. The uma with more guts in this case has an edge if both umas have speed, power and wit maxed.

Why are some people only running (or recommending) white recoveries in Taurus if it's one of the most stam intensive CMs yet?

>>2462972Long and short of it is a few characters have access to a secret running style for fronts called runaway or in nip "oonige". Suzuka is one of the characters that has this runaway style, but the catch is you can't unlock it via MANT and instead have to do Unity, which means much lower stats. The reason people do this is that when you run an Oonige with two other fronts, it allows them to create a huge distance. The Suzuka stays in the very front for most of the race, and then dies at the very end, allowing the other fronts to catapult off her in what's called the "rabbit" strategy. Think of a runaway as support or buffs to your main front runners. It's worth dedicating a slot to, and expect to see a lot of it in the next CM.

The main issue to me is the fact that they have to account for two completely differing win conditions in order to be more consistent. Front heavy room? You want Dober ult to at least give yourself a chance to position. End heavy room? You want Seiun to hit Angling. And in both cases, you want Red Shift. So it's sort of hard to cover all your bases as a pace. That's how I felt running Teio. Fronts are in? She actually does surprisingly well. No fronts at all? If she's the "lucky" pace, all I can do is pray she hits Radiant early or my ends pick up the slack.
