Reposting ideas for new CM rules>>2575045I've had one idea that could potentially improve the Stakes. It's simple, easy to implement, and requires no organization between different anons.Rooms should be hosted in pairs. That means a host actually makes two rooms in-game, then posts the room numbers for both in the same post. This would have the following effects:1. Due to the fill speed and how slow joining is in-game, it'll be all but impossible for anyone (except the host of course) to join both rooms.2. It should lead to a slightly more even distribution of who manages to join a race. I'm hoping this could increase uma variety a bit.3. Race results would count as simultaneous, which could lead to fun outcomes.4. Hosts always have a slight advantage, and the more even distribution of trainers would slightly increase this. Second, you can't enforce this with a normal room because hosts can't kick entrants. Third, even if you restrict the room to only winning umas, there could be contention as to who that is (e.g. if rooms 6 and 7 were hosted close to each other and the "deciding" room is made before room 7 announces results, there'll be lots of complaints).

I went into some public rooms earlier, pirated the strongest fronts I could find and did more testing with my new Palmer. It doesn't matter whether she Spot Struggles with Suzuka or not, she will get Angling guaranteed every time.The issue is that the Angling activation window lasts a very long time on this track, both corners. Because of that, another front runner can sometimes overtake my Palmer and trigger Angling as well. However, that usually doesn't happen until the second corner, if it happens at all. It depends on how strong the other front is and whether she procs all of her skills. And even when she does get Angling halfway through, the acceleration duration is too short to secure the win because the other runners are already getting past her from their full acceleration.The only way Palmer loses the activation is if she doesn't get 1st or 2nd place right out of the gates. With the Palmer in picrel, she never drops to 4th, but there are times when she ends up in 3rd, fails to proc her unique, and just dies midway through the race. Power is extremely important here, 800+ is the minimum. Out of 10 test races, I failed 3, and every single loss was because I couldn't secure 2nd place at the start. This could probably be fixed with one Maestro proc or another gold medium skill or with Concentration, but trying to do all that in Unity is too much for my deck.

So the events of yesterdays stakes were replaying endlessly in my mind and I've had some time to think it over. There was a debate the other day about who was stronger for this course, Falcon or S. Maru, and that Falco was possibly overrated, but there was really only one technical explanation as to why Falco was performing so well. After watching many races for CM14 and the previous CMs, the battle for fronts is really quite intriguing watching how the different fronts interact with each other. With this CM it goes something like this >When mid-race starts, Falco is normally contesting for 1st/2nd, so her ult goes off allowing her to take the lead>In the middle of mid-race, Bourbon's ult tends to activate which allows her to get ahead of Falcon many times right before position keep ends>S. Maru's activates late mid-race, but due to the way the track design is, it's much harder to pass anyone at that pointThis means Falco can get the lead early quite easily, but a well built Bourbon will steal that lead RIGHT as position keep ends, meaning Falco used up her strongest speed ability and is not going to be able to pass her if even Maru can't pass her, no matter how many double circle abilities or escape artists you might have assuming the Bourbon has all those things and just as easily built in. Now if my Falco was slightly better, I may have been able to re-pass THAT Bourbon, and I was very close a few times, but also had some bad luck with being rushed and late starts so I dont want to draw anything too conclusive off those matches alone. Just more a trend I noticed against STRONG Bourbons and Marus. Which leads me to the other problems with Smart Falcon. Gonna run out of space with this comment but continuing in the next post

If Bourbon doesn't activate her ult in time or isn't in good positioon herself, honestly I think that's an easy win for Falco. Falco has built in prudent positioning, so all you really need to do is find dodging danger somewhere. That's pretty nice. She also has front-savvy so a groundwork trigger built in.She has very good growths, like 20 speed and 10 power that's amazing. And she can use Bourbon's wit card...Now that's my other issue with this. Bourbon's card fucking sucks ass. Taking the lead is great, but honestly Bourbon doesn't seem to need it at all to do well. She just doesn't! And that means Bourbon can use a way better fucking stat stick than that piece of shit card or the Helios card. I don't know, maybe this is cope and a little bit of seethe, but to me it just seems like Bourbon is better. Like hands down she's better. I think she beats the perfect Falco (possibly)
