Personally I'd rather just have a handful of empty hypos to lean into the trek reference. You could specialize into having the burn hypo, the rad hypo, the standard DD hypo, a chloral/stoxin hypo for shitters, etc. and then one of those minifridges (just for the UI, honestly) for more situational meds. The main problem with Odyssey medbay is that there's a fairly notable dearth of wall-mounted machines in the codebase and wall-mounted storage is under-utilized; even just having a gimped wall-mounted dispenser and chemmaster and turning standard lockers into wall lockers would go most of the way towards improving most departments on Odyssey. I'd also keep cloning and viro station-side but having a one-tile isolation cell with a windoor could be fun.

Honestly there was never any reason to not let people join as any of those (though DIY botany is kinda shit) but especially CMO or robo because the CMO is just a doctor with bridge access and a target on their back during revs and the only special toys that the robo gets are the suit station and the exosuit fab. Not having toxins or xenobio or full xenoarch access is completely irrelevant on Odyssey.

yesterday i shared my plans without posting the sketch i made but i might as well share that too
1: the engineering department will have an airlock leading straight to odyssey's engineering so engineers will basically be able to charge the ship
2 and 3: medbay will be split in half, there will be two airlocks leading straight to the docking port and this entrance will only be accessible to doctors
4 and 5: odyssey's cargo bay will be connected to the station and the station's supply shuttle will be nearby
6: research will maybe have some robotics machines, perhaps a workshop for mechanics, and some other stuff, but its equipment is definitely going to be scarce
7: security will be right next to the bridge with a very basic armory
8: you should be able to view odyssey's bridge from the station's bridge if all goes well
