For me I used lates as an example here, these are all skills that would be good on lates, but you could loop in rudolf. What you'd be doing in the background is trying to spark on white late skills, things like uma stan, ignited power and stuff from unity, the scenario skills from URA, and when you've got a decent lineage full of whites you're happy with, you put him in the grandparent stock and loop him out for a different uma. You can do it with or without borrows, I had this Narita brian in as a borrow as an example, but the idea is just continuous breeding to get in white abilities you want. It can get more detailed than that, but you want to make sure they're all doing the same G1s. Then when it comes time to making a real parent for a CM, you have a bunch of high affinity grandparents with good white sparks and hopefully some good pinks/blues for the CM you'er training for.If you were looping for front parents, you'd be trying to breed in all those front abilities they like to have like groundwork, and dodging danger and all that. So there's no one size fits all answer, there's a lot of different ways to do it but just really continuous breeding to build strong lineages chocked full of useful white skills doing matching G1s for high affinity so more abilities pass on

Derby is a medium where you have to pair two umas with the same styles, but their style aptitude has to be separated by two ranks at minimum. However, Dober can team with Teio as a Late, since one is A Late and the other is C Late. Slutty Stakes is ultra gigalongslop with a maximum of 777 stamina allowed.
