There really isn't anything wrong with open league especially if you're an oshi gamer. Winning it gets you more carats than losing graded, it's way more stress free (like a fucking video game should be), and you can much more easily build off meta umas.

So for the upcoming xoggers I know I need to build a tachyon parent. I also need to build a grandparent since I apparently have fuckall medium parents even from mant runs. Do I need any extra bullshit like ignited from unity or racing spirit from ura, or any other specific whites? It's not ideal but MANT is probably the best just for running all the G1s without failing stat checks compared to URA as well as being able to luckshit into things like head-on.

You loop a handful of umas in and out depending on a few factors. Then when it comes time to make the stacked grandparent with all the G1s, you have really strong parents for THAT which has a ton of white skills from the previous modes and other hard to find stuff ideally. Pic related is just one visualization for a late-minded parent. All in all the blues and pinks don't matter that much outside of maybe having dirt great-grandparents so you can do more dirt G1s on your grandparent run

That way you can play grand live and get all the scenario sparks from the otehr scenario, plus rare whites that you need for a specific style such as groundwork, umastan etc. In some scenarios you don't have access to skills in the same way as you do Mant's rival hints. Grandparents need to be done in a specific way so that they have all the matching G1s AND good blues and pinks. Having a strong stock of great-grandparents speeds up the process of making better grandparents by rigging the luck more in your favor to get more of the hard to find, rare skills you want. When it's all said and done you'll have these crazy parents with 20+ white skills on each lineage and crazy inspirations due to affinity maxing properly

So you can loop a bunch of umas that have general high affinity with each other, something you can do in the background with auto career.As soon as you make a good one with ALL the white skills you want, you replace the old one you had with less skills, move on to the next uma in the loop and do the same thing. It's a process of gradual optimization, continuously stacking on more and more. Oh I have these great grandparents with ABC all stacked on? Well now I can start trying to stack on XYZ. End result is a bunch of strong lineages for when you start making grandparents where the umas actually do matter as those uniques will be factored into the main parent. Looping has more flexibility where you don't care as much about the blues and pinks, chasing mostly blues and whites over time and is easier to do with say auto career.

This means that when you're doing real parent farming where you're trying to get a bunch of skills to hit and also a useful pink and blue, you can give yourself much better odds instead of just trying to bruteforce it. For Fronts, just as an example, the odds of hitting GW+DD+PP, assuming that you are running Falco's card for the gold PP, goes from 1.6% to 8.5% if you've got the whites on your entire lineage.

Taiki, El, even NY opera is Dirt E but she's more grandparent material. But really you're not limited to anything, you can do it however you want. Just something to work towards in the long run, and start thinking about a style you want to lean into which will make your looping choices easier. You like front characters you loop those front runenrs with front skills you want. One thing people are chasing after right now is restraint from Tosho, a green that Rickey can activate that reduces your chance of being rushed...dober runners can cope with that too. Little things like that people are chasing after.There's many rare skills exclusive to MANT right now that people are also fishing for, so the mode you chose depends on what in particular you're looping. Borrows help a lot with that naturally

Working on a NY opera grandparent and I have a set of great grandparents that are dirt+mile mixtures that bring her up to Mile B and Dirt B, which makes all the mile and dirt G1s doable essentially. Depends on the uma you're training. It is autistic, you dont have to take it that far but just an example. If you can get up to dirt C, that should allow you to do all the dirt G1s but obviously that can be hard on some umas.

Those rooms fill in less than 5 seconds so you have to actively camp them to get in. But most of us don't mind it, we treat it like a sporting event. It was the third fastest stakes peaking 10.3 posts per minute iirc. Just behind the arima kino and cancer 1 (there is a special reason for this one)
