Paces is pretty much just whatever (pace) skills you can get beyond head-on and shrewd step. Wit Bourbon is also a fucking brick. Ends and Lates have good wit cards in C.B. and Nature, but they also need more unique skills than paces even if not as much as Fronts. So they've had to run Ruby as a brick to get a mandatory skill, and any combination of deck with her POW ass card thrown in causes a giant headache since you're killing wit with only CB carrying, (not possible for Xoggers), or making it so you have to high roll on 2 speed.

Neither is that close to the Del Mar track used in the actual race today though, too many uphills and downhills on both. This particular distance for turf doesn't even exist in JP uma's Del Mar by the way.
