Run - finishedSalad - tossed twiceCasualties - zero, unless you count a couple of missing limbs due to a fiesty salad (but no deaths)Our run was effectively forced to have a hard time limit due to server reset, but we nonetheless finished the jungle with a couple of minutes to spare after searching for all the salads we could find (2).On a random note, I discovered that the plasma cutter can damage spent fuel fast enough to destroy it before the wielding saiwan accumulates an unacceptable amount of rads. If you stand to the side of the fuel at the very edge of plasma cutter range, you only accumulate around 6-7 grays of rads before destroying the spent fuel. Obviously, 6-7 grays is still a non-trivial dose, but it is plenty survivable on its own without any special meds, so this is a good trick to have if some fuel is placed in a truly awful spot.

Coderanons, may I make a request for what is hopefully a simple and easy mod? I'd like to generate smaller layers to shorten the total playtime required to finish a run. Right now we can shorten the radline timer, but you can only shorten it so far until it becomes harmful to the gameplay experience and you spend half of every layer getting rushed by the radline.Like I'd love it if we could compress the current full-sized layers with 60m timers into a equivalent half-sized 30m layer. So that by the time the rad-line activates, we've descended the same percentage of the layer we'd be at if it were a full-sized layer with standard 60m timer. It's hard to explain but I hope you can get the gist of what I mean. Shortening a full run from 5+ hours to about 2.5 hours would be a huge difference. That's about as much time as completing a full operation in Helldivers 2 which is a nice length for a session. It might be possible to make a server-only mod for a suicide vest if you can reuse the Trauma Rig sprite, and make a crafting recipe that combines 6 sticks of dynamite + belt + string + 3 chunks of plastic to make one suicide vest and then adjust the explosion value so when activated it creates an explosion equal to 6-12 TNT sticks individually

I've been postponing this since forever, but I wanted to give some feedback to the anon who posted archiveofourown.gay/works/91092061/chapters/242357571I think it's a very intriguing beginning (even if it feels like a cliche setup), but it also feels a bit like you're making stuff up as you go along. What I mean by this is that for instance the main character's personality is all over the place. In the beginning in his thoughts he's pretty stoic and almost arrogant towards the test and the experimenters, but then he becomes a stuttering naiive mess in the second half of the story. A character showing different situations a different side of themselves is a neat detail, but it doesn't feel like you were actually going for that. On the other hand, the strong inclusion of senses other than sight is very well done, it highlights how the expies have different senses than us humans.

This is true on a micro level - the conversation at the start is hard to follow since I'm just now introduced to the speakers -, as well as a macro level - I appreciate the PM/PO jargon with KPIs and whatnot, but it's all very vague how making the expies less prepared somehow skews statistics to look favorable. This is critical, because it's the justification for K's motivation and to me it's now feels ambiguous what could possibly be going on. I'd advise making the dialogues just as fleshed out as the narrative parts. It's usually rewarding to a reader to see characters express themselves, while it can become a chore to read through dense paragraphs or some guy monologuing. Feels like you want to get to the "interesting bits" as soon as possible, and you're burning through the introductory parts. Consider the information you relay to the reader, because you, as the writer, know so much more than them.

I can't tell because I know what should have been said in parts and now it feels weird.

I liked shoving the hot barrel of my shotgun down the last beast's throat and blasting its insides with buckshot.But perhaps the real MVP of the lobby was the anon with the infinite jetpack who was able to zip around the map as they pleased. Trailblazing and finding the way downwards, then marking it so we could all follow the same cleared path together. This was especially awesome and lifesaving in layer 4's bass cannon hell. His jetpack probably let him bait all the sound cannons long before everyone else got there. All we had to do was follow his marked path. When we were too slow he'd simply come and pick us up kek. And if someone got hurt or needed help he could get to them almost effortlessly. It was probably just the desync slowing down the game's clock, but we never once had to run from the 45m radline.Apologies for the desync issues, it's usually not this bad. I hope the anon I hosted the lobby for had a good time.I want to take a break from hosting for a while. Maybe a week? But if the big update for the MP mod releases in the coming days I'll change my mind and happily test it out with everyone.

I think making the first transition out of the flashback smooth and clear would be a good idea, such that the reader can understand the later, sudden transitions. Just something to give the reader a hint that there are two scenes going on without needing back up and re-read the previous few paragraphs.As for the dialogue, I think it was perfectly fine....I should also point out this obvious - the story's primary hook of Anon and Lacey is not to everyone's tastes given the game's community is more focused on anthropomorphic critters. This includes the people on here, who are more interested in anthro-on-anthro or human-on-anthro.

I find it funny that I just read the buttering story yesterday. I read Skillet story and enjoyed it, and don't really see why they act its that off-putting. And I enjoyed heavy snow despite the end, architect stuff isn't for me so I was just worried about potential health complications because I liked characters and their chemistry.So even with knowing it will be feeding story and as author said its more about power dynamic and control, and tried to keep myself open as I began to read. At the end my blood boiled, but not to my dick. I don't remembering feeling so angry in long time, the more I read the more I hated every character. I was fine with Dr.Gamble at start, I kinda expected to end up disliking him considering he is a scientist and we know what scientists do. When time come for main events of feeding Cassandra all the butter I didn't even felt like "Oh yes, take this you stupid voyager bitch!" kind of spite, I just hated everything and everyone equally up to apathetic boiling rage and merely kept reading.If there were parts I liked they didn't registered at this point, and maybe the only character I am curious is the one-eyed Lysander but its just that there's not much of him to judge. While I don't regret reading it, its makes for unforgettible expirience, I'll never touch it again. Still will check heavy snow sequel at some point.And now I like ickes. Host/player collisions was funny but it's been fixed with the addition of a toggle for player collisions. The dev has been fixing and adding things at an impressive pace. The mod has noticeably improved a lot since I first started playing.The recent addition of a live custom level browser with maps made by fans is awesome and probably worth installing the mod for even if someone only intends to play single player.

Expie and especially milky could be made quickly with mostly default mspaint shapes, whereas the more complicated dune required pretty much all mouse pencil drawing. I thought it was just me being shit at math, so I calculated the blood loss rate based on bloodVolume. And when the ECG/death-o-meter screen is up, totalBleedSpeed stays the same, but the actual blood loss rate goes through the roof. One of my quirks is overusing "of course" so I usually try to go back and pare it down to a reasonable amount per story. Overall, editing should take up probably 80% of the time, but once you just have stuff down it's easier.

In the 1930s and 1940s Hitler and Speer were toying with the idea of a massive train called the Breitspurbahn which were intended to be massive, spacious double decker train cars rnning on 3m broad gauge track. I believe there were even some plans for triple decker variants with a low roof meant to be budget train cars if the double decker spatious cars were more luxurious and I believe Wolfenstein II used this as inspiration for the underground Nazi monorail (Eisdenpfiel, iirc) which may have been triple decker but it's been so long since I've played it. Either way, consider using the Breitspurbahn for inspiration! I highly recommend two decks and being able to get onto the roof of the train if possible for three levels of verticality with the spac between cars having a means to get to the roof as well as the second floor as you already did here >>2922575As a side note, I just remember that Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy had a train level which were nominally double decker, but you could get onto the roof so it was effectively three levels.

He expected Mekon to be pathetic, but in the scheming eunuch kind of way. Not in the touch-starved, endearing, hopelessly lonely way.Navy doesn't like being wrong. But it turns out that he's been wrong about pretty much every assumption he made about what his relationship with Mekon might be like. This is very, very, very confusing to him. That makes him lash out a lot, but at the same time he's slowly been making concessions as he slowly realizes that he doesn't have to be so paranoid about a coup.It was really the fact that Mekon didn't try to go for a power grab when he was unconscious that sold the idea of trust. Drawing just isn't something that comes naturally to me, and if you put a gun to my head and told me to "draw a pretty picture or else" my brains would inevitably end up splattered on the wall. Which is all to say, I really dislike when people say "just draw, anyone can do it" because I know myself, and I know that I can't, and so I don't want to tell anyone "just write, anyone can do it" because I'd feel like a massive hypocrite. That said, I do think you should try to write something at least a few times, but if you have tried and you're not having fun with it (which is important!), and you feel like it's not something for you, that's absolutely fine and you're not a worse person for it.

A piece of shit sold to the right person still made money. Now you may want to argue that you don't want to channel your skill into making pieces of shit, and that's commendable. But neither should you for no apparent reason than to please your ego try to make something impeccable, because it won't exist in a vacuum either. Going back to Harry Potter, its success lies in its novelty for its time. It was ostensibly the first mainstream normalfag isekai for its time. Making something novel is a community so small shouldn't be a very hard thing to do. Just make it something that (You) are interested in, or else it'll just be a chore to do.
