Delivering items to the train sounds fun, would be nice to stick around and try to get a few extra boxes or something aboard. though you might run into the risk of feeling really samey because youre constantly running back to the train and not really exploring, so there should be some sort of balance to it.You could maybe try something where its still machines, but you need to find parts around the map to fix actually fix them (with a larger spawn rate to make it less annoying, and optionally scrap can be used instead). if not, then machines can still work if you make them open up a door as a shortcut or a loot room.

Yes, I know Dolly has the train break but the event is not scary or threatening. You come out into the same pastel colored zone as usual, reject Doug and Rocky are a joke. Imagine this: you choose perks, you wait for the train to open. It takes longer than usual. Then, suddenly, the train shakes, you hear explosions, rocks falling, the light goes out. The doors open. You come out into a dark tunnel. You see Somni or whoever operates the train tell you that the tunnel collapsed. Thankfully, there's some dynamite in the back of the train that you need to deliver and blow up the rocks to go further. However, after just 1 minute, the players will see the text "Something bad is coming", tense music will play and a timer appears. You need to do it quick before a powerful enemy comes to wipe your team. It's a super boss, beatable but most players should just hurry to complete their tasks. Maybe as a pity system for bad players, after the manic appears, Somni will come out and place some dynamite herself, allowing players to go into the train anyway after getting a taste of the boss.

Just a simple press, but the implication of toons having to clean the bodies would instantly set a darker atmosphere. You can also alternate between the tunnel collapse and the ambush event since they start the same, always keeping the players at edge to what's coming when the train takes longer to open. Always thinking, is it their lag or is it the start of an event.

i havent been here in a while, but congrats to loaffledev for the release. i've been playing in public lobbies and i can say the game is quite fun to play. its foundation feels a lot more smooth than dandy's, as there's no arbitrary self-imposed limitations like main characters, there are frequent break zones, and i love the fact that you can respawn after a whilemy only suggestion so far would be some in-game guiding, such as a library of the perks and the manics in the lobby similar to the research menu in dandy's

Loaffledev is the spawn rate right now coded to make ammo spawn more often on early floors and less on later (usually f20+). I think Project Eclipse's mega laser she gets at half health is healthy for the boss fight and THEREFORE I think, instead of dealing 100 true damage, it should deal something like "true damage equal to 50% MaxHP". part of me wants to make a somni's character of my own, i like how characters really lean into their design's gimmicks and i'm getting inspired honestlywith dw and most dwlikes things can be a bit arbitrary (finn and shelly are good examples of this) but pretty much every character in somni's feels in-line with their design. a camera flashes people, a packaging box can fit its entire body inside it, a tank fires its gun because its a fucking tank, really the only one who i think is arbitrary is loaffle, and even then i think her manic design makes up for that
