Loaffledev if you want my opinion on the proposed changes it just sounds a tad boring i think it also forces alot of interactions that are just unfavorable for some toons not that the current objectives are insanely engaging but they really dont take alot of time at all to do maybe do something like make noise drain faster if you are in a closet?

Loaffledev, maybe add a crafting system to the game. If there's anything I learned from streamers, it's that people really enjoy being able to stack things in the game and some even tried to combine other items. Players often end up with a bunch of weaker weapons, being unable to kill manics reliably. Now, what if we could combine something like a ruler with a knife to make a spear that deals 40 damage and has longer range than a knife? Or a broom with a spark shell to ignite enemies on hit? It doesn't have to make a lot of sense but it would give more options for late game weapons other than sledgehammer and remmy. Make a menu in the lobby with all the craft recipes that you can collect and unlock so players can refresh their memory on it if needed.

>>2934520Being worried about "bloat" is a strange thing, considering both of your inspiration games have different stages that require the players to change tactics because the objective is different.Hugo has those weird first person sections, as well as the collectable gem pieces.Dollys has the train breakdowns and the boss floors. You already have bosses, so that's a good start.It might be a good idea to look at what you thought those games brought to players in a positive manner, and implement them, without worrying about the most vocal audience (aka actual literal children.) If you need more ideas, I've personally played pretty much every Dandy-like on the platform, and can suggest Warden being looked at for some of its variety, like floor events/disasters and multi-person machines (even if not all of it is fun/good.) Toon Universe's sanity mechanic is fairly unfun, so I wouldn't copy that. Tropicaland had "fetch item and bring to object" objectives, but they weren't anything special in terms of gameplay interacting with the players, and I believe they also had a noise mechanic that was dog-ass, so dont look there. Twilight's Zone allows players to trap their Twisteds to remove them from the floor as an objective + side quest in some cases, with a variety of different (static) traps. The traps were generated within the tile itself, but I imagine they could take the place of a machine or closet spawn, or be made into their own tile. Anchored's machine QTE's are actually fairly varied, as well as Depth Spelunking, and if you want to look into adding those onto machines instead, please look at both of these games.Unfortunately, almost no Delver deals with direct combat, so noise itself may have to be shelved, as I have no viable suggestions from Roblox. The Splinter Cell series deals with stealth and noise concerning combat, and some games are co-op, but this may be too shifted away from the genre to be useful.Good luck.

While I do like fighting back against maniacs and making it a nice gimmick for a delver, I don't know how to feel about making fighting a requirement to proceed. It does make sense for floor 30 for it to be a specific wall, but I kind of like the choice between needing to eliminate a threat or trying to work around it. It might just be me preferring the survival aspect in games and choosing not to fight and save resources for key fights.

I think the furnace gimmick can work if you have the opportunity to cheat the debuff some way. Add a shopping cart you can put one fuel macguffin thing in it at a time without incurring speed penalties or it’s special debuff, but there’s only one cart per floor and you’re basically defenseless while pushing it.(it would also be funny if other players could ride in it and maybe use guns while doing so, so that you and your friends can get up to some real jackassery)
Loaffle, if you want to increase combat add a basic attack to all recruits, like a punch or kickit's very weak and short range, but unlimited. then teams could swarm weak manics when they are low on weapons
