Updates have made the game better and better over time with many QoL updates added.Star Leap is making all of the story characters free to recruit, and you won't need any gacha characters to get through the story, so that's a good start at the very least.

Suikoden 2 is my favorite PS1 RPG and Suikoden 5 is -probably- my favorite PS2 RPG.However, it's a Japanese gacha. Based on an existing IP. This makes things bode incredibly poorly. The likelihood of this being a cheap cash-grab with horrible rates, pitiful income, and going EoS within the first year is much higher than it going on to be a huge success, because that's just how Japanese salarymen make their gachas these days.But I'll definitely give it a try. I really dig the character art because it has that classic JRPG look to it, and even the gameplay seems fun.
