Partner Cheer is perfectly good anon, but, it IS extremely niche, and only specific girls can make use of it, so it's understandable to not be interested
Ifijaar was probably the right choice to make, but I felt it worth to say why I suggested the other one in the first place

Is it odd that I think Tena's normal outfit makes her look more halloween-suited and festive than her halloween outfit?
She's honestly one of my favorites so I am pretty happy that she got her first new alt, and that alt being halloween-themed is the perfect choice, but there's something about it that feels less halloween and more 'generic' and i'm not sure why.

Why did everyone decide to dress as a witch? Even the costumes.

You know what I think that's it, that's the problem.

Part of why I liked her is because her 'hair' looks like it isn't actually hair and instead like she's a jack-o-lantern that's being worn over someone's head, like she has two sets of eyes and the typical pumpkin grin made up of the bangs. On top of having a bunch of pumpkin sigils and bands and stuff all over her robes, the black-and-orange is very halloween, plus she's bound in shackles and got a collar that looks like it's another one which fits very nicely for a ghostly spirit, and to top it all off Tena's black cape even tail-ends into Candy Pieces!
Not to mention how her staff looks like a gnarled tree with a lantern on it.
This is like, peak Halloween, it's just a really nice look.

But her new alt has the entire pumpkin part completely covered up by the witch hat and the rest of the outfit doesn't even look very witch-like at all. Or at least not like a typical halloween witch.

I like the new pumpkin-headed puppets though, they're kinda neat.

It happened fast, but it's less "someone" and more "Kuromi suddenly fades out of existence and then reappears with no memory as to what she was doing or what is currently going on", as if she was yanked out of reality by some kind of sentient cosmic force for saying too much, returned to default settings and then put back. Her unawareness of the situation is also what leads to her running off with the demon researcher's assistant to put her in a succubus dream when the MC tries to get her to leave so he can interrogate them.

The part that gets me the most is that Suzu sounds completely terrified when she's trying to warn her like she's seen this happen before, and the implication therein that all the other Monster Girls probably know too but all of them have a mutual understanding that they aren't allowed to talk about it unless it's time for another TD Festival. It's like they made the legal issue an actual tangible thing that they're all aware and afraid of.

This is Chapter 13 of the Main Story (specifically Chapter 13-6) which I finally decided to get around to after realizing I've put it off for a while due to most of my Monster Girls not being high enough level for it. They still aren't, to be clear. I'm stuck on 13-7 now, but we'll beat it eventually.

I'm cutting out a lot of what happens here as the story's actually quite lengthy, but basically the group breaks in to a lab base to beat up the scientists who kidnapped Damstor with the help of the Poacher Trio (led by Eloise) due to a shaky alliance and the three-way political war going on in the current country, but after you actually defeat the head researcher and her assistant and the army of demons and robots they had, Kuromi suddenly interrupts Eloise in a fit of panic because she's worried Eloise will steal the protagonist role from the MC and "If this keeps up, sooner or later it'll become [Monster Girl TD: I've become a king and the monster girls are doting on me, and now I'm in trouble!] instead!"

Which prompts the Prince to ask her what "TD" means in confusion, causing Kuromi to yell out >>1867039 and leads to the rest.
So she wasn't just doing this in an event or side-quest, this was in the main campaign, and yes, this means Kuromi is yelling out about the TD Festival's existence while fully voiced.

That's interesting; so this event not only features the man-made immortality devices that prominently debuted in one of the prior collaboration events (the one with the Werewolf Girl Waluza and the Lich named Lich), it actually clarifies that they've specifically been 'further improved' since the last time they showed up. Because it’s gimmick relies on getting petrified rather than just relying on the Halloween Spirit I stuck Charis down right in front of it (so she could attack it in melee) and she eventually broke it with his assistance. Granted, I have her signature weapon which adds a pretty hefty bonus to her petrification rate, but Charis is still a very good option for destroying it that you’re almost certainly guaranteed to have.
Lauren’s Teacher Outfit from the free events also has a high petrification rate as well, so if you need extra assistance with it, putting the Medusa and Cockatrice together should be able to take care of it for you.

While that’s true, he doesn’t have a guaranteed chance to petrify it, and while that’s not a problem on the normal story trying to rely on him soloing it for the EX stage can (or will, if you’re low level enough) lead to the mobs bleeding through.
It’s best to have at least one Monster Girl that’s capable of petrifying things to pair up with him in order to destroy it, as it gets rid of it far earlier and more easily than just having to rely on him while hoping you blow away enough of the mobs while his skill is up.
I did like that they had him though; the Pumpkin Spirit was fun. I’m a sucker for Jack o’ Lanterns though. It makes me wish Platina’s Whip Alt had a pumpkin or turnip gourd with her, to be honest, as her “anniversary” version honestly looks like an awesome Halloween Style Costume in its own right. I can’t even remember any other Dullahan Girl who was actually accurate to the source material and headless horsemen and dullahans (and jack of the lantern) are like Halloween Icons. She’s even got the whip that looks like a human spine and the headless horses behind her, it’s just sick you know? Would’ve been cool if she was riding that horse too, but still.

NTA but yes, it’s best if you move the Pumpkin Spirit up to the front line in addition to having a girl like Charis so he can help destroy it. His chance to petrify things is likely why it’s specifically designed to be destroyed with petrification, and I think they put him in the back so you’d have to move him forward and he wouldn’t get to attack it right away.

The Pumpkin Spirit’s skill doesn’t petrify it, and I know that because he’s fully capable of petrifying it with his basic attacks. He might have a higher success rate while the skill is active though. What his skill does is give himself and everything in his radius the chance to instantly kill enemies by blowing them off the map, which also bypasses the immortality, and it helps to buy time for you to destroy the machine.

Also if you have Tena in the event’s costume in your party, the passive bonus from her class further increases the rate of inflicting status ailments, so it’s more likely to petrify the thing, which is also nice.

I don’t know what to tell you anon, I’m just trying to help, and there’s only two girls that I can think of who inflict petrification that pretty much every single player is guaranteed to have, which are Charis and Teacher!Lauren, who I also specifically mentioned by name in that first post. You probably only need one of them to go with the spirit. It’s really not deeper than that.

I don’t know how far along that anon is, but the Medusa Soul subskill requires you to have both gotten a specific star depth in the Labrynth and then also actually made it in the first place with a bunch of extra legendary gold dungeon subskills. It’s a perfectly reasonable thing to use for the challenge thanks to the Medusa token, but I don’t know if the anon actually has that, since to be honest it’s really not worth making it unless you’re at a point where those extras are piling up. If he has someone like the original Lauren (who petrifies on deployment) I’d easily recommend her over Charis for this.

I personally dislike her a lot but I am glad that his favorite girl finally got the alt that he wanted. Somebody had to be a winner here.

Seems like a Samurai or Curved Sword from the look of it, at least judging by the weapon. Hopefully for that anon she'll be good.
But if it's her and supposedly Rakion then depending on whoever the third and/or potential fourth is I might honestly just skip this altogether.

I am very pleased to say that I take back everything I said about Mystrana and the problem with the three different versions of her that I had borrowed from other players before I ended up getting her myself was 100% on whatever abilities they had given her and not Mystrana herself.
For the most part Okyuu had been able to mostly solo this thing on her own and the problem was just killing both the tentacles at the same time before one of them could heal it, and she still did at least half the work on the Boss alone while also landing the final blow, but Mystrana completely shut down the entire right side of the arena to the point Aether's revive-powerup didn't even kick in for the majority of the fight. Either those Whirlpools are doing a lot more than I thought they were or there's something else I'm unaware of going on but either way I'm pretty impressed.
I had really wanted her to be good, so it makes me glad to finally know she can be. She's just extremely dependent on her subskills is all.

I've grown to enjoy this boss fight too, so I'm glad Okyuu and Co. were finally able to beat it.

Rakion is 100% comically overpowered on purpose though. But she's also cashgated and I'm not paying nor using that.
i would've said something else, but when i realized she had self image problems i genuinely started to feel really bad about that and i can't bring myself to dislike her anymore, she doesn't seem like she's a bad person and came across as well meaning. she's still kind of off putting but she's probably alright. if i get the original one, i'll probably use her. i prefer her OG design anyway.

I'm assuming you're talking about the Anniversary 3.5 Event's third stage right? From my understanding, the Living Balloons will spawn endlessly until the Poacher Tower is destroyed, so if you aren't able to break it quickly enough I could see how you'd get overrun, especially since they can only be destroyed on specific damage types and only take damage if the girl attacking them is on an elemental tile or has a way to bypass their immunity such as >>1875294.
Basically just break their tower as soon as possible and the enemies will become finite.

In all fairness anon the game tells you this, and the gimmick is that the balloons are split into two groups (colored and neutral/'white') so you can easily tell which one needs which. Colored Balloons only take damage from physical attacks, and when they're beaten they turn all of the spaces around them into the same color as them, while Neutral Balloons only take damage from magical attacks and will remove all color from spaces around them when beaten.

The reason they also require you stand on a colored tile to defeat them is because of the Tower specifically, as that's the purpose of the Tower, and since the Tower also keeps spawning them you have to work your way up to destroy it, and you get auto crits on melee against the Tower iirc. The thing is once the Tower hits half-health, it will wipe out all colored spaces off the map, which will require you to use the Master's Tower to restore the color to all the spaces around it, so you have to work your way back up again. Once the Poacher's Tower is gone the requirement to stand on colored spaces to damage things goes away and the Balloons stop spawning, so after that point you just have to beat it normally.

she is the cutest dork and her scenes are top tier. I really enjoy seeing her on the home page along with rin, rin(chocolate), rin(poison), and kuromi(lilith). I fully upgraded her, but I haven't tested her in game yet since I use the same youkai team for every level. she's probably really good with prometheus, but I probably won't use her even in the rachiniki events since I don't have any good dark healers.

also these are my dark and water teams. I pretty much always use water since the two snipers/fris/poison rin feel incredibly strong. The only character in dark that feels really strong is NY platina. I still haven't read the kits of anyone at level 1, but I remember reading that cheerleader niguryu was a broken tier character.

Thanks anon, makes me happy to see others talk about the girls they like. She also seemed a lot nicer in this event while still being recognizably the massive chunni troublemaker that she is at heart. It makes sense given the circumstances. I'm glad her little stories were fun too! Honestly a lot of girls have really funny ones and Okyuu's were incredibly fun in general like her turning herself into a living rollercoaster that one time.

My main team is made up of a combination of my favorite girls and the girls who I'd just really like to use, and it ended up like this. The sign something's started to get difficult is generally just if I have to switch off this team and actually use the much more cohesive ones. Or just have Okyuu use her guns. Honestly 50% of the time Okyuu's SHOOTO is enough. Bless that octopus.

Speaking of Prom, I did give Brynhildr desperate attack so that Promestein would team up with her better since they're (effectively) mom and daughter and I thought it'd be neat. But since A!Mauro has built in life loss on herself Promestein would probably target her more naturally if you used them together.

I made two water teams too, one for the fun stuff and the other for things that required the stronger girls. Okyuu's definitely MVP (both of them are ridiculous even if one is far simpler than the other), but honestly a lot of them are pretty good. Generally when I'm doing the Ranchiki Festivals it's either Water or Earth. I'm pretty happy with them. Hopefully you can get a good dark healer that you like at some point. I found that yokai one with the orb that gives crit buffs, but I'm not too fond of her and ended up just using Barrow anyway.

I'd like to have gotten Anniversary Fris as I like her in the first place and if I do rent a girl for Water Ranchiki it's usually her, but alas, didn't happen. But Waemawa was more important to me, so I'm happy with who I got either way. Maybe next time.

I am still extremely surprised that they actually did make the alien secrets as the next immediate one despite all the reasons to go with something else first. All of the girls are limited or paid only and there's zero welfare for them, and you can only rent one girl, you can't just rent a whole team. Unless someone with the tokens equipped is given a pass they'll have to add a way to do these otherwise, like just having a story-given team you can use solely for this or something.
The Cat Girl looks MUCH better here than she did in the art shown in the stream though. Well, I think all of them do.

The Cats of Ulthar is one of my favorite Lovecraft stories though so I sure wouldn't mind if that's what she turns out to be.

There's a few jokes like that, but I didn't get that one either and looked it up out of curiosity. Supposedly, 'buri' by itself is fine, but 'buriburi' is a slang term for being high, so she probably said Raikon was high on drugs by accident. Given Veratu's associate vampire is an absolute drunkard getting plastered off of wine, which she doesn't seem to think highly of, her reaction's understandable. Not nearly as vulgar as what Kuromi ended up turning the constantly-increasing-number of the Thanksgiving Festival into, the MC just seemed shocked at that.

Now that I’ve finally gotten her to Level 120 and crafted her signature weapon the damage output she’s capable of is completely absurd. If you just cancel her skill by moving before it ends, she won’t even get stunned!

It's pretty spot-on too; the only thing they missed was Perili, and it seems to be because they weren't able to find the (admittedly obscure, which they also acknowledge in the video) myths that she's based off of so they just assumed she was original. She'd just be moved to a little bit below New Zealand, since the stuff that seems to have inspired her beyond the old mariner's tales of deceased fishermen being reborn as penguins (which aren't exclusive to penguins) all comes from around there.

turns out there's a funny visual bug where zooming in while Mystrana has a whirlpool active causes it to become absolutely gigantic. It does this both in replays and in actual battles, so long as her skill is active and there is at least one whirlpool out. doing it with multiple whirlpools will swamp the screen. however, this does not actually change anything but their visuals. They still have their incredibly tiny hitbox size as normal, so she can't actually blender everything on the map by doing this, it just makes it look like she could.
The actual blender is still Okyuu, once tubs got in-range she started hitting him for 20000+ damage per hit with Octoshot with the total damage being around 167,088 per barrage, which is pretty damn impressive for a skill with no attack bonuses and she completely liquidated him before he could even attack.

The stick used to summon her/Ultraman is this thing. Also, apparently some Nips have made the connection that Ultraman is a Star Warrior from Cthulhu Mythos which is even being referenced in later iterations of the show, so she's actually eldritch. Fun facts about Nip subculture!

I somehow never knew that and almost certainly would never have guessed that either despite how much I like the mythos, that's wild. Thanks anon! On a similar note I saw a conversation on there a couple weeks back about people hoping for some more Cthulhu-Mythos inspired Monster Girls, and a Star Warrior's a cool addition but I do think it'd be fun to see some more of the classic ones.

The part where Marzea tackled Okyuu when she finally showed up at the dinner party was pretty great but I honestly wish I could have seen the two interact with each other in a conversation; Okyuu's reaction to seeing the full extent of Marzea's obsession with her food would be priceless.

Cerberus Soul if you use HP scalers. Kraken Soul if you have a darkness unit. Chupina is arguably one of the best users of the Kraken Soul, but she wants all sorts of subskills(Barrier, Attack Speed, Chargers if you don't have Futa Idols). For the most part, the Soul subskills are trophies.

dont get me wrong anon i never said it wasn't an understandable cheat, it's completely justified to use her to cheese the entire thing since it's both time-limited and ridiculously restricted with regards to girls itself. I was just pointing out the humor that, well, exactly like I suspected months back on a hypothetical secrets series for them that she would be able to completely solo the entire thing by herself even if they tried to hard-DR-wall her.

I admit I'm also curious what the new Boss will be too, since a lot of the bosses (especially the newer ones) are honestly pretty fun. I've seen a lot of complaints about King Aurum (or Auru, one of the two but it's definitely named after the latin word for gold that's used on the periodic table given the consistent naming convention) and I can definitely understand why since he can be a harsh DPS check if you don't have enough girls at a high enough level but I honestly think he's a pretty cool boss.
They also said in response to returning to that island where the war originally took place that people would just have to wait and see, so maybe they'll actually travel back to there?

Also the Dog Cops are bigger than I thought they were, but seeing the Orthus Head wrapped around Torus's neck is cute too. Making the police the most endearing retards imaginable was a very good choice.
