Favourite singleplayer/story-driven titles? Indie games? Multiplayer titles without gambling mechanics?
>>1871474ex astris is the best thing to play on mobileactual console quality game without any lame fomo gacha bullshitotherwise just stick to emulatorsi play pokemon ds games on drastic
>>1871482Thank you!I get the 'emulation is your friend' mindset but I feel like celebrating game devs/companies that've made good mobile games/spent a great deal of effort porting their stuff to mobile.I'd like to recommend the Paign series, and my personal favourite: Crashlands/Crashlands 2Crashlands is not very optimised, but it's probably the greatest time waster you can have on a smartphone. The writing is really fucking good.
A few days ago I picked up Kyen - The Skeleton Amulet. It's a free retro-styled RPG complete with stat-rolling. It's kind of grindy and the warrior class is mostly good for tanking (ranged classes ftw), but I don't dislike it overall. The same dev also made a new game that's a lot like it except paid.
>>1871523And I finished it, I'm guessing it took less than five hours to beat. Apparently it's based on the Gurk series that used to be available on Android but got delisted.
>>1871594God. I hate how many singleplayer Android games get delisted for fuck all reason
i've played Vroomies recently, it was fun
Are there any good Diablo-likes on mobile?
>>1900293I tried Dandy Ace but playing this kind of stuff on a touchscreen was awful. I hear it doesn't support controllers either.
>>1871474Been having a lot of fun playing Wasteland Story. Also playing 9th Dawn III on and off (wish I had a mid-range so I could play 9th Dawn Remake more reliably).
>>1873112Usually it's that they stop being updated (dev can't put in the time, or literally dies) and fall behind the OS so they can't be used anymore. PC games run into this too to an extent with how many hoops some old games have to go through just to make them run on newer hardware/software.>>1871474Battleheart Legacy is pretty nice.
Unciv is based directly off of Civilization. It's a good one if youre into non-story strategy. You can also download mods directly through the game. The fantasy mod is pretty good. There's also a lotr, 40k and an adult mod but haven't tried them yet
Beatstar is nice now that the servers are gone, there's a modded version being maintained with a custom server that allows custom songs (but also has all songs unlocked).Unironically, Hearthstone's Battlegrounds mode too. Only that part, regular Hearthstone is a shit game.
Shattered Pixel Dungeon (dungeon crawler) is one of the best mobile games I've ever gotten hooked on. Battle for Polytopia (lighter civ-building strategy) is also good but it gets -points for having microtransactions even if they're mostly just "buy alternate tribe that starts from a different part of the same tech tree", still wasted so many of my hours on it over the past 6 years or so. Both free. And of course Slay the Spire and Balatro for PC ports, great time wasters.
