They didn't try with this eza. Usually they keep the spirit of the card. They could've kept the base form spam, but give SS a shitton of stats without additionals, just hits like a truck one time like LR tien or pikkon. So he technically has a lower peak but is much more reliable, and it fits the original theme of killing frieza in one attack. Instead they're the same except he gets guaranteed crits on the turn BEFORE he's built up. Bravo omatsu.

I'm a little put off by the conversion of super attacks/animations into movies. On one hand, I know most of the player base will appreciate the reduction in storage space the app requires and it will probably be an immense help in terms of older/slower phones not lagging like crazy when flashy super attacks play out. On the other, it somehow feels uglier that movies are being stitched together rather than real assets being used and rendered in the game. I'm not sure any of the sites/twitter have any compression, but it also seems like there's a slight downgrade in visual quality in app as a result, too. I wish they'd introduce an option for HD card arts and asset-based visuals because this is the only game I really play on my phone so I don't mind the storage bloat if it means the game looks nicer

I know the new unit is cool and everybody loves future gohan, but I'm not sure them or the EZA are good enough. I'm getting blown out run after run trying to clear Goku Black & Zamasu, Hybrids redzone, and Broly. INT Gohan is a great tank turn 1, but after that, he's pretty vulnerable. Obviously you have the revive, but Trunks is a slot 2 unit on a team full of units that can't really hang in slot 1 super well minus the tag blues. You can use the masenko, but then your bag of tricks is empty if you don't kill. The EZA is solid, but if they get locked in slot 1 and supered, the odds are pretty poor if they didn't get a triple 12 ki the turn before, 6+ orbs, and support. Gohan hits pretty hard after exchanging, but just 58% DR isn't enough. I've had him die to buffed Goku Black normals a bunch. INT WT Trunks, AGL EZA Trunks, and V&T can't hang super consistently, they die if they get touched. AGL Kid Gohan can get whacked if you're unlucky to not have a demonic power/gohan on the rotation he starts on. You can obviously run them on double tag blues, but that's less fun and it's a challenge to get the new unit and the EZA lined up on the same rotation to live/die/exchange/cover for each other. Team needs some strong EZAs/SEZAs unfortunately

Animations aren't anything special, but I have to hand it to them for doing another two dokkan originals. Unironically a pretty brilliant choice to make two units who land on nearly every major category they've propped up this year. Being part of androids, demonic power, movie heroes, bond of master and disciple, mission execution, earth-bred fighters, and hybrids/fused fighters is pretty insane. Kit and performance wise, I don't think they're blowing up the tier list, but they seem like they'll be strong options who compliment each other well. Gohan/Gamma 1's restriction is a little annoying, but I think they'll feel especially good if & when we get some EZAs to give them both some breathing room. Banners look horrendous though

Gohan/Gamma 1 are good. Decent tanking for the first 5 turns, great damage, good actives. They're good in all content. Gamma 2/Piccolo are dogshit. Gamma 1 can't even tank normals and needs 5 supers to get to 85% dodge, has dogshit damage and an useless active. Piccolo is only a good tank for 1 turn, then he's dead weight, and while his active is good, it's nothing compared to the Gohan/Gamma 1 actives. They're not good anywhere. You shouldn't summon for either, but if you can't help yourself, go for Gohan/Gamma 1.

He can start to hit pretty hard after a few turns of stacks and with his good links up. Piccolo is very strong in slot 2, but he's not at peak performance if the enemy is >70% HP. He should look a lot better once OP gets his EZA because he doesn't link very well with Gohan, Gamma 1, or Gamma 2. I'd say it's: Gohan (first 5 turns) > Piccolo > Gamma 1 > Gohan (after 5 turns) > Gamma 2 in terms of power and reliability. I think both units are honestly pretty strong and will probably see another big jump once the EZAs drop

EZA gammas are pretty great next to the new units. They're not blowing my mind or anything, but they are a very easy and safe run. Glad to have more dependable units around that don't demand being prioritized, protected, have requirements to meet, etc. etc.
