After reading all the post from the prev thread i think some anons have way too much faith in jp especially considering how jp hasn't even made a single 3D openworld that can compete with Genshit. The only jrpgs with good looking guys are the FF& remake and Kingdom Hearts, and both are reboots/continuations of older franchises. Games like TWEWY are dead. Tales is dead. Persona is popular but yumes and fujos both keep taking Ls because Atlus doesn't care about having a female playerbase. Fire Emblem went from having an otome artist designing decent looking guys in 3 Houses to the ugliest dudes in Fortune's Weave. There's no incentive to leave Genshin for any of these games. Hoyo got big due to the pandemic but people stayed because there's no where else for husbandofags to migrate to. There are people who stay for years just hoping their husbando will do something again since Genshin is good at teasing "lore" which makes people stick around, even though it's really just sunk cost. Tl:dr summary: people won't leave Hoyo because the industry is in the gutter and other companies don't want to step up or are abandoning make male characters who can appeal to women.
