Unova is actually full of actually fuckable bugs like Leavanny, Galvantula, and Volcarona. It fell out in Gen 7 but managed to worm it's way back in during SV. Couldn't tell you about VGC since there's way too many eras to consider but both have had a presence there over the years, Scizor moreso. No matter how you slice it both are great bugs, with Heracross killing it pre Gen 4 and Scizor picking up the baton from Gen 4 and after
