I used to be in the threads showing my progress in getting ribbons on people who had traded to me mons, battle ribbons, etc. I’m a nobody lmao.

I use care in a loose term— I’m not expecting your most treasured mons, but some people have Pokemon rotting they just don’t care for like they used to. Some people have traded up old mons from ruby to current games but don’t particularly care either way. My favourite mon I received from someone here is called Banchou, he was a ribbonless pancham from unova. He now has all available ribbons, and is star of my team alongside a collisuem bred Eevee. It’s stupid, I know, but I get joy from imagining the adventures these mons had before I came into the picture.

I try and offer equal value in return, I worked in a Game store in my younger years and have no life outside of Pokemon, so I have quite a few event mons and ‘special’ mons (birthday Pokemon from the Japanese Pokemon Center— which I can provide proof it’s me there collecting it, not just an ugly gen mon) that being said, I know a lot of people just gen mons these days, so perhaps my trading days are behind me. I’ve just been back into Pokemon more than ever due to injury, so have a lot of spare time. I’ve already ran through every single Pokemon in my home account to get them the champion ribbons in each game. I will just hop back in to get them item finder

Named the Treecko 'Savio'. Runner-ups included Vega and Suave. Couldn't get away from South American-sounding names, it's the jungle vibe.

Savio is a lovely name, really dig it and it feels fitting for a Sceptile stage especially. Glad to hear he’s learning moves from the pros too! I’d hope old megas will be in ZA, but this is gamefreak, so maybe not. I’m keeping my fingers crossed we don’t just get the basic kalos dex, although that may be optimistic.

Dia has got their champion ribbon (on their own— failed my first attempt but smashed the second. While I could easily just put her in one slot and cheese it either my usual strong team members, no accomplishment in that) we’ve been wandering area zero collecting items, and I’ve just realised I can send them back to Legends to get the very cute photo ribbon there.

You mentioned you didn’t have any safari ball mons- if there’s any others you’d like, I believe I have an extensive collection of different mons in them and honestly, this has been very fun. Warms my heart that Savio isn’t just box fodder.

1. Japanese pokemon name and japanase language not a problem but trainer name is "n a t h a n". On my experience if it came from a true japanese player they would have a trainer name written in japanese too; not impossible but not that common either.

2. Not shown in picture but it has a single ribbon, a Master Ball Rank ribbon. Would a real Master Ball player trade their Calyrex for a SV shiny?

3. Lastly the most "glaring" issue, a trainer ID of 277778. Not an impossible number to have but those kind of numbers are likely from a trade bot or they pkhex'd it themselves on purpose like that.

For all intents and purposes it did pass whatever HOME checks and was deposited safely so if you don't have a problem with it you can have it. I won't be available for trades until tomorrow therefore if you do want it reply here and we can trade for it

People often value shinies in weird ways, too. Some would view them as better than Cal.

Also my trainer ID is basically 5 identical numbers then 1 random at the end. So it does happen, but like you say it’s an odd sight

Got my plans for this dude finalized, he's going to Sinnoh for a fresh SPearl run. Doing a playthrough with a constantly disobeying foreign starter who has curiously high stats sounds fun. Got him leveled to flat 5 for it.

Glad to know Dibiase is getting the recognition. Honchkrow is super fun but always risky, so the champ run impresses. Kinda inspired me to start going through all my old boys and seeing what I can get them. I've never done a lot of ribbon hunting, I should.
