I wish pokemon would spend more time in their early evolution stages. you level up way too quickly in the beginning anyways. also, post pokemon where you prefer their pre-evolution to their final one
>>58175399Hello there.
>>58175399>I wish pokemon would spend more time in their early evolution stagesGo play Black and White then. There are plenty of Unovan Pokemon that take absolute ages to evolve (Rufflet, Vullaby, Larvesta and Deino being a few of them)
>>58175399why not just stop them from evolving?
This is the main reason I hate the modern exp system. So many early and mid game pokemon evolve within 15 levels of obtaining it and even without grinding you end up there in an hour or 2. Mashing B works but it's annoying to have to keep doing that, you basically never get an everstone before the 3rd gym let alone more than one, and even if you don't personally care for the earlier stages themselves (though I wonder how much of that sentiment comes from never keeping those earlier stages long enough to form an attachment, especially middle stages) there's still the fact that earlier stages learn level up moves earlier than later stages. Everything else is just a balance issue. They could ramp up the level curve to match how much exp you get so you won't end up over leveled playing normally, scale back the friendship bonuses so party members don't end up borderline hax from just collecting levels without ever being used, or better yet make bosses challenging enough that those bonuses and thus a strong bond with your pokemon become more necessary as the game progresses.>>58175481You also don't get them until the game is almost over.
>>58176855Well said, anon, I agree. Sadly though, I don't see this ever changing.
>>58175399>I wish pokemon would spend more time in their early evolution stages. you level up way too quickly in the beginning anyways.>posts a stone evolutionanon...
>>58175481yet it still feels too soon sometimes
>>58175399tell me about it
>>58179971Marill evolves at level 18, it's not blue Pikachu
>>58176588Some Pokemon don't learn the right moves if they evolve late, Breloom misses out on Mach Punch in gen 3/6 if you don't evolve it immediately.
What is B
>>58181537ah you're right...
>>58181525... I swear to god it used to evolve through a stone
>>58181537>Masuda does this but locks Breloom out of SporeWhy is he such a raging faggot of a game designer? This isn't strategy, it's just a pain in the ass
>>58176855Or just make evolution manual, but that has its own set of problems.
>>58175481>ages to evolve>caught at low 50s and evolve at high 50sI used a Braviary in my last BW2 playthrough and the Rufflet evolved within 4 levels
>>58175399>post pokemon where you prefer their pre-evolution to their final one
>>58175399For me, it's the middle evos of starters.
>>58185733Rufflet is like 40 at most in black/white. I transferred over one and gave it an eviolite to act as a pseudo evolution there but even then it felt pretty bad to use (too weak to kill stuff with evio, too frail if you use something else to supplement power).
>>58175481And most of them are found in the fucking endgame LOL absolutely disgraceful game design

God, we need a regional Venusaur to fix that mess...
>>58192135The whole mudshit line is garbage though.
>>58193376fuck you
>>58175399marill should have been the mascot instead of pikajew.
>>58185953dewott is a forced meme
>>58193370cute grass monkey
The EXP inflation in recent games makes old level up evolution requirements basically obsolete. I wouldn't mind an adjustment to them.
