You love them until you get sick of them.

If you can even call it an ending. More like bringing them down such that restoring the status quo was step up.

They had some of the best episodes in the Ashime and added at least a little humor and fun to the dullest filler.

they were also the only ones allowed to have a somewhat complicated personality and morals, while ash and the gang were extremely one-sided

True. I particularly enjoyed the episodes that focused on James and his bond with his Pokemon. And Jessie? Two episodes that stick out in my mind is the Johto episode with Blissey and the XY episode where that one guy rescues Jessie, and she starts falling for him. Some pretty good stuff.

the Blissey one is so peak. unfortunately my team rocket autism makes it so i get pissed off whenever Jessie and James fall for someone else. they're so good together

I get that. They already feel like an old married couple at times, lol. And just like an old married couple, they stick together through thick and thin... and when they do occasionally part ways, they always get back together. Those are fun episodes, too. I think it was during the Battle Frontier, they split up at the same time Butch and Cassidy did, and Jessie teamed up with Butch, while James joined Cassidy, and of course that didn't end well, lol.

The Rocket Radio Show or whatever it was called that they were doing in PM19 was a fun idea. That should've been the ending they got.

I'd rather listen to the often times funny Team Rocket banter or watch their antics in an episode than spend it with a dull CotD I'd never see again or watch Ash and company wander around doing not much of anything.

It's over for Team Rocket.

Officer Jenny really let herself go.

I got tired of the intro they do in every episode because it felt like an excuse for the animators to just trim a few minutes off the show every episode instead of having something actually interesting happen. even as a kid I thought this.
>>
I liked how they used Charizard and Aggron.

Status quo. Follow Ash forever, very bleak.
>>
I think most would scoff at this notion, but I feel they are possibly some of the best characters in the franchise as a whole, period. When separated from the shitty 'show up to steal once an episode' shtick that plagued them, all three were really entertaining and have great chemistry and I cannot think of any game character as fleshed out as they are. Fuck man, even their neutered Lets Go versions where Meowth can't even talk have the best dialogue in that game.
Also, they always got the weirdest pokemon because they weren't tied down to having to catch the starter or an eevee or some shit, and I appreciate that.

Well, at least they weren't alone in getting a bleak ending, I suppose.
