To add insult to injury, the Koraidon/Lunala core won worlds, but Giovanni played way better. Amoonguss was replaced by Brute Bonnet and Chi-Yu was used instead of Incineroar. Sometimes these meta mons are crutches and actually drag the team down if they're not appropriate. Giovanni made almost no changes to his team during all of Regulation I. Instead he learned how to play it in almost every scenario, even the bad matchups.
