Can he finally get Levitate again? Powercreep has gotten so bad that even guys like Tiranitar, Heatran and Garchomp fell off; so it wouldn't be broken or unbalanced.

I think that was the first time Game Freak had changed a primary ability (hidden abilities had been swapped on a few mons going from Gen V to VI but they were all unreleased HAs) and the only time they did so as a nerf instead of to showcase some new ability.
