Why did they go back making all the pseudos purely dragons after giving us the absolute gem that was Metagross.Personally I would've much preferred something weird and original like that rather Goodra or Baxcalibur to be honest.
I like how you named Goodra/Bax but the immediate next gen (SHITNOH) reverted back with Fagchomp. This is why gen 4 an abomination and worst fucking thing to happen to this series.

Salamence is the real Hoenn pseudo, Metagross was a bonus giftmon you couldn't even catch. As for Tyranitar I think it just fit Mt Silver being the last area of the game, and the concept wasn't fully established yet.
